I always used my 100MN Legion, Torp Rattle (and the Caldari T2 Battleship, not the Blops one), Rattlesnake, Vindicator, Bhaalgorn. I found the Tengu extremely boring, but I had a wicked HAM Drake fit that could break a Tengu’s tank. Frequently ran Blops, as well.
My all-time favourite was my 100MN Legion. Damned thing was unkillable vs a 5-man Battleship group.
I have a 100 MN tengu as well, but I’m too lazy to grind for 1,5 bn just to replace her in case I lost her, so…
Well I tried it for a couple months but didn’t get very far as I didn’t really learn it well.
Wouldn’t return unless it was free to play personally… the pay monthly model is pretty dead to me.
I know you can eventually play free by buying PLEX with ISK but I’m too busy to invest the time needed to get the ball rolling and not enough time to justify the expense per month.
Going to record a few more episodes today/tomorrow.
Between work and War Thunder Ground Forces… I’ve had my time slightly occupied.
Also tried to get free EVE subscription from their PR guy but he was like “get a 21 free day trial lol”. I am weighing up burning that bridge and replying with “I guess I will just save money in the long run by buying into Star Citizen”.
By the way, anybody have any good reliable ways to take decent screenshots without HUD? Is there a replay feature I am unaware of? Would really help me out as I like to make screenies of what happens in-game for my thumbnails instead of sticking to one.
I might request some assistance in the creation of some glamour screenshots at some point if any of you guys are up for it ^^
I am also weighing up squadding with some folks since this game is much more fun when working together I imagine. I mean, you can only do so much to win a round yourself.
So I have played a bit with interceptors and I think I am in love… CovOps and Recon are lots of fun. Once you get used to the fast and furious flying and shooting, reflex shots and whatnot become norm, which I think is what my main complaint was about… just the initial introduction to them was a shock to the system after flying the gunships… have to play much smarter but you become much more of a menace and harasser.
By the way, in higher levels (T3+) I am thinking I’ll need a lot of you guy’s advice on fits, mainly because I do not understand how things play out fully just yet.

You won’t get there. There is barely anyone palying in that Tier, you’ll either get bumped down to T3 matches or up to T5.
