[Series] Star Conflict - Stellar Supremacy

About the latest video:

  • PvE does have different difficulty level, the one you played was extremely easy because you were using tier 1 (rank1-3) ships. When you do the same level with higher tier ships, enemies will be harder and you will have bigger rewards.
  • There are going to be dreadnaughts introduced in the future, this is star conflict’s version of capital ships.
  • If you do well, you normally get more synergy from PvP than PvE, however, the time needed to progress when you get to higher tiers is quite long.

[…] He has some big plan he’s told me about to gank a highsec ship with lots of arty ships, I think it’s the last Dread or something up in highsec? Owned by some well loved player of the community? […]

That must be Chribba’s Revelation in Amarr system xD

He will never be able to shoot it down unless he gets like 10000 people to alpha it (i think).

If you can earn enough ISK per month ingame you can play for free. I succeeded at maintaining 4 accounts with it and still get a profit, but got bored and left the game after :frowning:

The grind… All these games with the godawful grind…

On topic: you actually seem to use (much) more logic than other newbies regarding the game, way to go! xD

Now, get your butt up to T3! Ive always wanted to appear on a youtube ging video

Oh, one more thing. Gaijin is only publishing / advertising the game (or they’re supposed to do that, which they’re not ~really~ doing). The developer is Star Gem.

That is good to know, is there any press contacts over at Star Gem I should be aware of to your knowledge? I suppose I could do some googling myself :stuck_out_tongue:

And I got some ships in a pack from the Gaijin press contact I have, this one over here: http://online.gaijinent.com/story.php?title=Star-Conflict-Mercenary-Pack-%E2%80%94-Elite-Pilot

I never asked for it either, he just kinda gave me it and I was like… “Free shekels???”  Y2YNUbw.png

And with regards to the EVE thing, yeah, I don’t know much about EVE but the guy has done the maths. I studied engineering with him at college so he’s not a fool… but I don’t understand his motives behind the attack. I’m assuming he’s just wanting to leave his mark or something. Not sure if he’s talking big or what.

From speaking to him he says that EVE is pretty boring these days though, only server you can have any fun on these days is the EVE Test. So he told me anyway, nullsec is apparently a pretty messy place to be with a small corp?

To get back on topic it looks like I’ve got a couple T2 ships and T3’s from that pack I was gifted by the Press guy:

  • Unique T2 Empire interceptor “Wasp”
  • Unique T2 Jericho frigate “Priest Bartle”
  • Unique T3 Jericho fighter “Dragonfly”
  • Unique T3 Federation fighter “Bear”

None of them really tickle my fancy, would’ve liked a T3/T2 Empire fighter but I guess you guys are probably more knowledgeable on these ships than me ^^

Desert Eagle: wish i had it, but no luck. I be poor;)

Looks pretty sahweeeeeeet.

I don’t know, I’m usually a sucker for games like this… I swear the Free to Play model has cost me way more money than any buy-in ever has. To be fair though, I spend my money on nothing else… I’m very strict with it. My parents call me scrooge because of it… that gives me an idea!

You know, thinking about it, something I’ve never seen done is a Sci-Fi game revolving around tanks in the manner of World of Tanks. I’m thinking you take the idea of Star Conflict… call it Planetary Conflict and then have tanks, because everybody loves tanks… but Sci-Fi tanks with realistic penetration systems with magical wizardry would be pretty damn cool. Maybe I am thinking too much though ^^

To put it into perspective, you can get over 650k per PvE win.  In T1 you can take interceptors.  In T5 or T5 they pop like candy.

Desert Eagle: wish i had it, but no luck. I be poor;)

It’s only a little OP.  It reminds me of Deimos 2, a top of tier Empire gunship.

The last two levels of the Phobos I used free synergy.  Free synergy sucks, but I felt ok with the choice.

Im just gonna take a detour through commands to get a t4

I already gave it a go… and a guy I went to college with is a very successful EVE player, at least according to him. He has some big plan he’s told me about to gank a highsec ship with lots of arty ships, I think it’s the last Dread or something up in highsec? Owned by some well loved player of the community? I offered to film it for him (for lulz, all about the lulz) so, whether he does it or not is another question.

I am pretty sure he is crazy enough to pull some nutty stunt like that… and it is EVE so I mean, anything can happen. I still remember that guy that scammed millions of ISK and posted a “haha” video.

You EVE guys are nutters… but I think that’s what makes the game special in a way. If EVE dropped the subscription model I would give it a go, maybe I could pull some press strings and get subscription free, long as I made videos but I am not really that interested to be honest, I had bad experiences with it due to the skill curve… too “TL;DR” for my tastes. If somebody took me under their wing I am pretty sure I could rock socks though ^^

Your friend is an idiot. No offence. Killing Chribba’s dread… HAHAHAHAHA…

Also, millions? In my last attempt, I managed to clear an entire Alliance’s assets worth roughly 35bill. I think the record sits at 200bill or something…

That must be Chribba’s Revelation in Amarr system xD

He will never be able to shoot it down unless he gets like 10000 people to alpha it (i think).

It is. They’ll never kill that thing. Ever. Chribba is very confident on it for several reasons:

  1. Alpha’ing that behemoth requires roughly 1.3-2mill instant dps. You don’t get those numbers even if you combine ALL ships involved at major null-sec battles.

  2. Getting 2mill dps requires ALL pilots in EvE to be online simultaneously, ALL flying high burst gank ships, not just High-Sec alone. That level of organization and logistics is, quite literally, impossible and would give Chribba quite the fair warning to either not undock or laugh maniacally whilst his Revelation sits at 10-20% hp left.

If said Dreadnought was in a 0.5-0.7 system, they could manage it with roughly 5-7k pilots. Still impossible numbers.

I think it was a LOT more than that. I don’t remember the numbers but they were insanely high, even up to trillions iirc.

But just to make sure i’ll try to find the info sometime soon.

Ah, yes, the E-Bank thing, 1.3trillion or something. But I was talking about physical heists, not scams.

Yea the E-Bank for one. Also for the physical part i think some heists in Mittani style (there were several of them) went higher than just 200 bil.

Well, when I say millions I guess you see I don’t understand what a mill of ISK is actually worth. Either way, it was a large enough amount to post an “evil genius laughing at stupid victims” video… and become one of the most hated person’s in EVE I am guessing?

Also, with regards to the Dreadnought, you can laugh at it all you want but I am fairly certain he knows what he’s doing… although I see you guys think he is insane ^^

Oh and I almost forgot:

Chribba is about the only EvE pilot, aside from Entity, that played during beta testing. He doesn’t really play, but he’s an important character to the community.

And, on that note, there are still plenty Capitals/SCs left in High-Sec space. They just can’t use them as military assets. Chribba’s Veldnaught is just the most famous one. I saw a Nyx on Jita 4-4 in the Incursion expansion.

[…] I saw a Nyx on Jita 4-4 in the Incursion expansion.

The Burn Jita event ^^

I was there just before it started moving my freighters out fully loaded with my alts - made it to safety and packed 1-2 more bil in profits xD

I wandered around with my main after setting them off. So much lag and so many wrecks xd

And Jopp, 1 mil is like only a mouthful of water xD

@ 0-20m i’d consider it the newbie’s wallet

@ up to 50-200m the casual’s comfort zone

@ up to 300-1.000m the casual’s rich zone and the average player

@ 1-3 bil is the ‘not sure’ area, either invest and make more or get stuck here

@ 3-10 bil the self sufficient guy who can acquire stuff at this point without working as hard as all of the above, where you add PLEX (free 30 days game time) and get great amounts of pew pew

@ 10-50bil is the self sufficient guy’s comfort zone, can make easy money with investments and actually go pew pew whenever he wants

@ 50+ bil you enter the rich man’s land with different levels and where the market and alliance manipulation happens

This is how i pretty much always imagined it.

I was usually the guy at 3-10bil with a decently fast raising amount. But i liked spending a lot. I quit the game afterwards, got bored. There’s still LOTS of things i want to do, but it ain’t got enough incentive for me to return right now.

With my accounts on a break i think i have @ 5-6 bil atm iirc, in sellable assets (not stuff that i would use). But it depends on the market. Haven’t followed it since this period last year.

Watching all those videos brings some nostalgia, makes me wanna jump on my alt and go wreck newbies in T1 xd

Seriously? I always thought having 50bill+ was normal… õ_Ô

My assets are sitting close to roughly 2… 220-230 bill or something… I can’t remember… This does include a purple tank Aeon, though… And… several… pirate Battleships…

I played the game with just 1 bill in my account. Farmed for two days L4 and anoms with a faction tengu for plex, and all my PvP was always done in T1 ships. The only T2 I used were frigs and cruisers.

I never used T3 in PvP, very poor cost efficiency.

I always used my 100MN Legion, Torp Rattle (and the Caldari T2 Battleship, not the Blops one), Rattlesnake, Vindicator, Bhaalgorn. I found the Tengu extremely boring, but I had a wicked HAM Drake fit that could break a Tengu’s tank. Frequently ran Blops, as well.

My all-time favourite was my 100MN Legion. Damned thing was unkillable vs a 5-man Battleship group.
