Sector Conquest- rewards

Corp that wins sector get rewards like credits, gs, tech or artifacts, this is distributed among corp players who fight for  that sector based on their eficency.

Corp that holds sector gets daily “reward” for holding sector, this can be credits, gs, loyality… For players to get this reward daily login is required.

Agreed, it seems kinda pointless to fight for control when there is no point to control lol.

It would also make more corps active and try to fill their ranks.

Thumbs up!

I do not agree with it. At least not at the momentarily state of sector conquest, since it favors Zerg-Corps and due to the non-corp members which fight for or against the sector you have no real influence if you win the sector or not.

You get my vote if it gets fixed. As “price” I would prefer vouchers.

I, along with probably the majority of players, do not give a xxxx about the sectors.

If being a member of a corp gives an explicit advantage, I’d probably join a zerg corp, solely for the advantage.  As it stands, there’s no personal advantage to a corp without the obvious drawbacks.  Throw in the personal drawbacks, and nope.

I think sector conquest should be about corp pride, but the playerbase doesn’t support that enough.  I don’t know how much is MM and how much is recruitment but corps aren’t OP.  A solo corp player is minimally different than a solo non corp player in enough cases.  In any case, the primary reason without significant game changes to give a bonus to corps is if the game changes.  I think one day sector conquest will be corp only, and to that end a sector conquest corp only system with specific balanced bonuses could work.

Right now, hell xxxx no.

yes good idea

+1

Sure, if they reset the sector conquest, add some sense to the way you conquer one, make it a real Corp vs Corp instead the actual thing, that way I’m good with the idea. Because as it is now, it only favors Zerg Corps that don’t even work as Corps, just as a bunch of people that go like headless chickens to play over and over again in the marked sector in the Daily Message.

Make it a real battlefield, with the possibility to have, idk, 10 guys from the attacking Corp against 10 guys from the defending Corp. Then the rewards will make sense.

If the game has to wait to have at least 3 defenders and 3 attackers from 2 corps attacking the same point to launch battle, there won’t be many sector battles.

But I agree. If there are bonuses, sector conquest shouldn’t be “zerg random” (by zerg random I mean it depends a lot on players currently playing matches again and again, squading etc…, not only a corp vs a corp).

They could leave the Sector Conquest as it is right now, but add an special “final match” that must be done between the 2 corps competing for the territory. So we’ll have the same matches we have today with 16v16 randoms, then one “hidden” match that will only prompt to both corps that scored the most points, asking to bring “x” number of pilots in order to decide who will end with that sector, and giving them a timelimit to do so. Idk, I’m trying to find a way to make it more “serious”.

Well I think a given time per day would be more efficient. For example each afternoon between 9pm and 11pm (that would need one sector per server given the timeline differences) there would be “corps war” (with your system) that would change the sectors. Others battles would stay the same as currently but without sector changes.

And that’s exactly what I’m asking, kinda like “Sieges” in other MMO games (mostly MMORPGs). When the 12 hours of combat end, the prompt to the highest scoring corps will come and the “decisive” battle will take place. That way we can ensure everyone will have a shot at getting a sector, but also we’ll avoid zerging all day long. “Want to capture 2 sectors at once? Sure pal, let’s hope you have enough teams to fight 2 hard Corp PvP battles at the same time”.

WoT has a “sector conquest”, too. While being a bit complicated, its mechanics are totally fine, imo.

I don’t know anything about WoT, care to explain how it’s “sector conquest” work and if it’s possible to adapt it tho SCon?

The WoT system is an exclusive MAP dedicated to this.

Only Clan/Corp can go in.

First : Battleshave a dedicated Time to participate. (21h-22h around this)

Second: Only the Generals or the CEO can place “Markers” on the map to choose the Sector “Attack” or “defended”.

Third : Limited Marker available per day / If a marked place can’t be captured/Defended cause of ‘not Enough player’ from One team, this team is defeated.

Differents stages are needed :

  1. Landing on an avaible place (Already Controled or Not) (Win the Battle : Win 2/3 Rounds)

  2. Defend the Sector : Other Corps localized nearly your sector or that want to deploy their troops can attack your sector.

  3. You have to place marker on a nearly sector to attack it/ Or on your own sector to defend it.

  4. Battle —> Results —>Party Hard ! or Blame your teamates if you lost

The rewarding system is in “Gold” (Premium Money) and the CEO choose how distribute it.

Condensated version

These are some nice suggestions and I have forwarded them to the devs.
