I tried it also. I built a xxxx 1 1 3 3 1 caltrop for lolz and then deconstructed it. I indeed lost about a third of the materials, including all of the Internal Plates and a lot of the nine shield slot parts. I did not take any print screen though.

1st, I did it on live with my Mjolnir, I made it into DMG ship rather than original Tank, before I even became a “ST”
2d, it does not matter where I tried it, fact is I did, and info you are spreading is wrong.

there were no info on changing it to permamently lose monos, no info = bug, unless stated otherwise, and i dont see you making a bug report.
You need other resources and Monocrystals to construct a ship’s part.
Once you deconstruct your ship, you get 67% of your money and resources back, but without Monocrystals.
Those are lost. So in the end, you lose all of them.
