I don’t understand

Going yolo and the team doesn’t xxxx it up by themself and even let you doing this and winning in the end.

I still don’t understand what you’re trying to point out, so I’ll just let this “discussion” drop after this comment.

 

All I’m saying is there’s no problem, as long as you enjoy playing the game (so playing pvp). Missions are easy to do on the side, and should not be a main objective to how you’re playing.

The new gun is extremely fun, and also really interesting… Basically, it removes the necessity to aim on the x axis, because the weapon automatically does that, very aggressively. It needs skill to use properly, and if you do, it’s pretty effective effective. 

You would be so idiotic to join beacon hunt with a frigate/destroyer eh?

yes exatly! but that would be very nice if dev’s could make the hit box a bit larger cause it seems like the guided shoot dodge the target → the disc keep fly arround target without hit :fed001:

It starts to fly around if it’s slightly above or below the target, but I guess that’s part of the weapon nature. 

1st - The new weapon on “Fire Support” (mission) and other missions involving Cruisers, even close enough 3.500/4.000mts and locking on the lateral turrets the shot goes to Cruiser’s center instead turrets. I even turned off “aim assistance option” to see if it wasn’t this game feature that was influencing the shots (projectiles) to go way off ->to the center of the cruiser. It seems the gun or aiming system to prefers locking on Cruiser than the turrets even if aiming hud is upon turrets for long time. I think U guys need to pay close attention to that.

2nd - Well guys. The alien weapon design for me was a little deception… It would be nicer if it looks more like the predator, or hunters skin.

*** And PLEASE bring back alien skin (Customization Coloring Preset) that one Black+Green with live details (like hunter’s skins), so the pilots that missed getting it on 2014 can have an opportunity now to get this… (I consider it the best) Painting preset (skin).

3rd - The weapon gives me no advantage on a “soooo” extended range of fire since it has 3° of spread. I’m often (> than 80%) missing enemies with more than 4.000mts. distance. Please consider reducing the spread. It’s disgusting.

4th - Projectile speed ridiculously slow I had to use: acceleration coils module + booster circuit ammo to have a so called decent projectile speed of 1531m/s + implants and etc. If not, when the projectile reaches the enemy, (mainly little ships) the enemy already moved from the trajectory of the projectile and the shot becomes a total miss (FRUSTRATING).

5th - Homing works only horizontally but not vertically.

I hope someone read this and at least consider what I’m saying.

You must lock on to the turrets in order to hit them. 

The spread isn’t that bad, you can reduce it with electronic guidance. Also, this weapon isn’t supposed to hit fast targets. Even if it has high range, It’s better when used on close range. On long range it’s effective against destroyers, especially when used on a long range frigate. If you really want to hit fast targets, I suggest you to spread the projectiles on a vertical axis. That way, if your target moves up or down, it can still be tracked by some of your other shots. And, by the way, the weapon is supposed to aim only  on a horizontal way. And it those it very aggressively. I think the weapon is fine as it is.

1st - You are locking the cruiser, not turrets. Period. Enable the target screen of the top left and you will notice…or use the keybind: cancel lock and fire a few rounds right after, it will no longer have any kind of guidance.

2nd - the look is very similar to predators and scouts hull, it looks really alienish imo.

This (for remaining points). The weapon has insane horizontal guidance; it would hit anything with horizontal and vertical guidance, being the most OP weapon. As shon says, weapons have strenghts and weaknesses; you wont need to fit an horizon like many other weapons, but you will require instead to use electronic guidance or J2 implant. If this was a weapon without guidance, yeah, the proyectile speed would really suck, but its not so its fine (coil mortair dont have much more proy speed, instead it has decent trigger and blast radius). Thats the reason why this weapon is extremately unreliable without locking, use Q and E to take maximum advantage of the homing capability. And for last thing, initial spread is quite low so you can use dumbfire short bursts in order to fire accurately at distant steady targets (theres no need to hold the trigger until it overheats).

Why not? They could have created some niche-weapons, but the current balance of them is utterly fail. So I’m asking if it will again be such ‘phantastic’ stuff before I join the hypetrain and be disappointed after revealing the secret rewards. Logical isn’t it?

Oh one thing: The only worthwhile item we got from this event is the craftable alien ammo. But sad that a) the EM isn’t useful as the weapons are fast overheating and b) We don’t have a reliable source to farm them.

I think you are asking for the weapons to be the best ones out there, cause you imagine Ellydium should be the strongest new faction (if it happens to be the new faction). IMO the disk launcher is fine since the 50% reduction to turn speed and strafe has a powerful effect specially with coordinated teams; ive found it to be an excelent weapon against other frigates, since it allows me to get behind them at close quarters preventing them from using all the guns unlike me (with fed ships this goes better). It also allows to mess up interceptor’s orbit, frustrating their attack or forcing them to flee…if you manage to hit. A covert op gets tackled big time with this weapon thx to the debuffs. The fighter weapon is good at PVE, but bad at PVP, i still think it requires some buffs, specially regarding to energy drain. Anyways i enjoy a lot using it even under high ping (this is a proyectile weapon with instantaneous proyectiles, not a hit track weapon).

Sorry but if you need such a weapon to orbit a frigate, you are a fail pilot.
Contrary to your feel I find the fighter weapon as the Nr. 1 PvP weapon. Sad is, that its purpose is destroyed with its way to low damage. Hunting inties would be a fest with that and an alternative to gauss/singu.
