Sadly, stopping with the game.

Because it underlies our inner desire to leave, but for various reasons, we can’t.

I left, but still hope the devs get their heads out of their asses and make a good update instead of ruining the game further with every update.

I talked to Error, they have something up there sleeves.

I will just check back this Thursday to see if anything turns up, I mean, the russians have their holidays too.

So… you’re going to quit because you’ve had a string of bad luck? Well, I guess it was only a matter of time then.

Bad luck, or maybe an indicator of a flawed matchmaking system? If I am flyin without any squads, I kinda hope to get into matches that are full of randoms with no squads on my/opposite side. Likewise, if I am in a 4-ppl squad with my corp, clearly we are looking for good fights, and woudl like to see more full squads on our side and the opposition. Right now the game seems to rejoice in pitting one side with full pro squad(s) against an assortment of randoms.

Exxample… yesterday, there was one “fun” match-up in particular. Me and Ransari, 2 person squad, tier 2. Lineup on our team - randoms (all but one were noncorp players, too). Lineup in opposing team - 4 people from [r4ge], 4 people from [alpha], 4 people from one other corp (might have been dyn… or maybe syn? Or was it evo… Forgot). To put it clearly - A T2 match where one team is basically randoms, and the other team has 3 FULL Squads of top-ranking corps.

Yeah, that sure was a “fun” and “balanced” match. Heck, ransari and me held our ground as far as possible. Do you think it was fun for the random non-corp players, to be utterly curbstomped into oblivion? Do you think they will want to keep playing when the game keeps making these sort of stacked match-ups?

And no, read my actual post. This mathmaking issue was just ONE of MANY reasons I’m considering quitting. The issue of repetitiveness and lack of variation were far more crucial reasons, fyi.

sounds like you need to join a corp that plays more…

Bad luck, or maybe an indicator of a flawed matchmaking system?

If it was a flawed matchmaking system then you’d still expect to see yourself on the “good” side of the stack half the time. You seem to be implying the matchmaking system is flawed in such a way that it works systematically against you, which is pure paranoia.

I didn’t say that was your only reason for leaving (though leaving because of baconspam is just hilarious btw).

sounds like you need to join a corp that plays more…

So your suggestion is basically “join nasa/dyn/evo or gtfo”? How about “sod off”?

Sounds like a common issue… burn out. The new has worn off, an while you find parts of the game fun enough to elicit a sense of -want- toward the game, it is however not as you’d like it to be. Books, movies, etc… Anything that is essentially someone elses creation can be great, but alas will never be what any of us want in regards to our idea of perfect.

So your suggestion is basically “join nasa/dyn/evo or gtfo”? How about “sod off”?

The progression here is… unfortunate. The suggestion to find a corp that plays more, I think likely to mean a consistent team would alleviate your being few against many. It instead seems to manifests for you as some implication that you need to join one of the top corps, that you at least appear to dislike… …or “gtfo”?! That’s a bit of a negative leap in logic from such a simple statement. If you volutarily shun larger team play, then you’ve already set yourself up for fustration. Wanting a game that caters to team play to fullfil your solo wants isn’t an inherently bad thing. Unfortunately it is a bit like expecting a crowded park to somehow cater just to yourself because, while it’s for everyone, your able to go there alone.

See. Its the attitude of the player that is the number one culprit to blame as well. A player can sit and complain and rage then leave, but if he does so in a way without really trying to make it work, either by forming good squads, joining others in corps, then of course the game will feel stagnant and not enjoyable.

My premise was have to Join a corp thats active, to gain players who want to play toegther. I never even said “Hey join us” , but I stated to join someone or some corp thats active.

There are many more corps than just NASA/DYN/EVO. Look through the corp forum and find one. I’ve been in a corp since I started the game, so I havn’t had the misfortune to experience what you are dealing with. I fly in squads more often than not.

I highly recommend joining a corp as well. The game is going to feel “solo”, if you fly solo. Going to not be as much fun as flying with other people over teamspeak. Just won’t happen.

I actually have great fun solo, and am very effective at it. Lucky, for people like me who hate flying with xxxx everytime there is realistic mode which is basicly 1v1 or 2v2(not including bots) which tends to be a lot of fun…or was…

I was somewhat offended at the assumption that the corp I’m in isn’t active enough. It kinda is - there’s plenty of people online. Doesn’t mean I have to fly with them 24/7 all the time I’ve logged on. Why the hostility in my response thereafter? Because I saw a direct diss on my corp from a top-corp-member. Additionally, I’ve already had people from dyn trying the ‘your corp sucks, join a better one (aka us)!!’ routine… I don’t take that kindly. Saw JPhack’s post as basically that (member of massive megacorp dissing smaller corps). Might have misread the intent, idk. If so, apologies. But, you know… A diss on a corp, a suggestion to switch to a ‘more active one’, and in signature a “join nasa” link… Pretty obvious, no? At least I hope you see how that connection would be made, even if you didn’t make it.

Again, I feel like I have to reiterate to drive the point across:

  1. the matchup thing is NOT the only factor. Nor is it the main issue.

  2. I’m not complaining about “always being in the losing side”. I’m complaining about how often there is an inequality of balance between the two sides. As I said, I’ve been on both sides of that inequality. Quote myself: “If I am flyin without any squads, I kinda hope to get into matches that are full of randoms with no squads on my/opposite side. Likewise, if I am in a 4-ppl squad with my corp, clearly we are looking for good fights, and would like to see more full squads on our side and the opposition.” Repeat: “if I am in a 4-ppl squad with my corp, clearly we are looking for good fights, and would like to see more full squads on our side and the opposition”. How did that merit a “looks like you need a more active corp”…? Seriously. Tell me, I’m curious. How did I gave the impression that I’m always without squads / corp friends? Because I kinda didn’t. Or is it literally the norm, and expectation, that everyone should only and always fly with their corp and in no other way? I have people on friendlist from other corps. I have non-corp people I like to fly with now and then. Should I never squad up with them because only flying with your corp is expected?

Btw, machinech, you’re spot on. This game is already causing a burnout for me, with less than three weeks of playing it… That’s pretty bad, tbh (I say that as someone who has spent 500+ hrs in skyrim, twice as much in oblivion, 400hrs in NFS:MW, plenty of weeks in GW2, and so on and so forth… I do NOT tire of games quickly…) - and the lack of new stuff to do at the stage I’m at is pretty glaringly obvious.

As for the apparent dislike… well, as I said, it was the presumption that ticked me off. As for dyn/evo… there are reasons.

FOLLOW THE GOOD PLAYERS, QUE DODGE WHEN YOU SEE THEY’RE IN QUE, COLLECT WINS :U. [Kidding kidding.] I don’t bother with such things and it keeps biting me in the xxxx when I gotta get into a fight with another Dyn hit squad, but maybe I should I guess.

Something like 80% of my play time is spent in solo play because it’s way easier to collect your contracts. I’m still way into this game and will be at least until it hits the final release, if anything I really want to leave t2 as soon as I can but I’m waiting until I at least got my blue Hails and Rails before I move on. I guess my issue is I don’t mind the grindy nature, probably not a good thing really. Really looking forward to seeing the t3 tactics and crap, not looking forward to this dearth of inties I hear about because of the constant stream of nukes though.

Two things I’m really hoping for are ship skins and new weapon types. I’m waiting for my vulcan gatling guns to replace the abomination that is rapid fire rails.

Lol ppl care to much for +40 dmg?

After playing 2 months t3 i found my first purple weapon for t3 last night

Im so strong now

Keep grinding on t2 till you hit 12?

Goodluck with that

Join a corp

Or get some friends atleast

who needs friends when you can play realistic

I certainly agree. The lack of updates for 2 weeks in a row has made it harder for ALL players, including me to keep this game fun and engaging.

I talked to Error, they have something up there sleeves.

Well, they certainly had something “up their sleeves” this Thursday. Forced removal of all tiers above T2 due to “lol nukes” gameplay and a demonstration of their lack of ability to remove nukes from tier 2 in spite of multiple claims of them having been removed a while ago.

I know that. I have faith in there ways that it will eventually improve. but even my patience will run out soon…
