Changes are so… random.

Umm, maybe I skipped this part somewhere along the lines, but from now on there won’t be faction specific special modules? For example I cant have Armada Combat Drones with an integrated Missile Shield anymore?..

 

I’ll really miss these faction-specific extras from the special modules, I hope they will be reintroduced some day… How about making special modules replaceable on ships, with modified modules of the very same type? E.g: X ship could only have combat drones, but if you have enough rank with a given faction you can upgrade those combat drones to Armada/Vanguard variants?!

 

Or how about simply giving us the option to pick a modified special module once the ship reaches maximum Synergy level?

Phew. That’s much better. That previous list was a little crazy.

 

Liking the new list. Each faction has 2/3 of the roles available, so you get benefit from cross-training, and some factions have differences in specials (empire long range has the disintegrator while jericho long range has the torpedo), which is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to see.

 

Distilled version with general patterns:

Long Range frigates: Empire (Disintegrator) and Jericho (Torpedo)

Engineering frigates: Empire and Federation (Combat Drones)

Guard Frigates: Federation and Jericho (Phase Shield)

 

Command fighters: Empire and Jericho (Diffusion Shield)

Gunships: Empire and Federation (Overdrive)

Tackler: Federation and Jericho (Cloak)

 

ECM interceptors: Empire and Jericho (Tachyon Coccoon)

Recon interceptors: Empire and Federation (MWD)

Covert ops interceptors: Federation and Jericho (Plasma Web)

I play all classes and i say a good frigate pilot is unkillable by any means in a equally geared  match up against any class in 1v1 even 1vs2. 

If you put your ego away (you havent even fly a tier3 frigate yet make a comment about their power )  i might even consider showing  you how.

However this isnt the place to argue their efficieny so i ll not reply to any counter argument about it.
