Rewards&Repairs

With your numbers, you would get to 3M with 75 games given an average of 40k net income per match (I have factored in what you said about needing to repair every 2-3 games). Perhaps it’s because I have clocked in a lot of games, but 75 is not too terrible. Wins and small repair bills would speed up the process too.

Granted, the progression could be a little faster, but I don’t see 75 games to be an insurmountable task.

75k is perfect actually but i said that’s the best i can get and i get it rarely, if i got 75k a match i would be happy but all i get 60k most matches, or let’s put it this way: every 10 matches i might get 75k in one of them and the 9 other matches just getting the same old 60k so the problem still persists.

But what if you lose with a rank 9? how much credits do you get? Cuz i’m losing with two rank 7 ships and repairing them costs more than the crdits i recieve after the match.

I am using two rank 7 ships, i am not getting enough money but i never actually lost any

A corp mate of my is also telling me about losing credits per match(Or atleast not making a real profit) while I have no issue what so ever with making a (small) profit, even if i die 10 times(license or not)  :dntknw:

When i have to get my ship that costs 3150000 credits i kinda like to make a real profit

dying 10 times on 2 ships can put you in the negative

Because of the high repairs and low income i never change my ships in battle. if i used my Phobos Aura at the start then i keep using it. can’t change to my frig or my interceptor and that is not fun.

plus point being, you learn to stay alive because of the repair bill. don’t know any other game that made me play like this lol. for better or for worse till death rips my ship apart.

I admit it was kinda fun at first trying to stay alive so i won’t have to repair but in T3, not really fun anymore

Any news or updates?

What happened guys why did you stop commenting, did…did your balls drop off?

I doubt spamming will work at this point.

Either the devs are discussing/testing possible solutions, or they just don’t give a damn. Same with the looting.

And due to the lack of dev. responses, I fear it is the latter.

i know i know, i am just desperate because the game is so great but so not playable unless you get licenses or buy premium ships. so i though i could motivate the guys and girls to keep talking. i mean come on everyone loves the joker

I continue to stand my ground that the credit income is fine.

It’s perfectly acceptable to play 30 matches for a good ship, otherwise you would only use each individual ship for an incredibly short amount of time before ‘moving on’ and the sense of progression would be completely gone.

That’s just my 2 cents, but I am genuinely not experiencing the same level/lack of income as some of the people in this topic are mentioning.

Evil, 30 matches is about 3m, at best. That is not even a good ship. That is a mk1 fit R8 ship…

And when repair costs take away all your income, something is obviously wrong.

Edit: /me glances at WoT, and the non-existant income that causes him to not play that game.

3 M for 30 matches is a fine pace, imo. I’d estimate it neared 4.5M if you take loot into account, but that’s based on my personal experience and mileage will vary from person to person.

I am yet to experience the repair cost issue myself, regardless of what tier I play. I’ve never experienced the 60k income some people report - and I’ve never seen a loss. Until that happens, that is one thing I cannot comment on. Obviously if it does happen regularly, there is something wrong. I have no problem with the ocassional loss though, if someone really just died over and over and didn’t contribute a single thing to their team.

Perhaps they should look at making PvE a tiny bit more profitable - right now I can achieve just as much income by flying PvP, making the PvE side unappealing (even considering the guaranteed loot you get in PvE) so that people who are short on cash have a reliable way to generate an income.

Reliable way? you have got to be kidding. did you even try to play PVE without getting a squad? you die plain and simple you just die right at the start losing money because you are gona have to repair without earning anything. And let me get this straight, you never got 60k after a match? are you sure you are talking about your profit without a license?

Did I try flying without a squad: Yes - there are rare times when I offer to fly with ‘new’ people, preferably straight out new t1 pilots. I’ll take a t2/t3 ships and fly a t2 mission with them. Most of the time this goes fine, but expect to do most of the leg work yourself. You still earn money and loot even when you lose a PvE mission, so I’m not sure where you’re going wrong. That said, most of the time I go with at least 2 other corp mates. It’s just a lot more reliable and quick that way, and there are currently not enough different missions to make this mode a huge appeal for doing it the hard/lengthy way.

As far as the 60k goes, maybe once in a blue moon, but generally speaking I get more than 60k. If you also count the loot, it’s more towards 100k+ profit. Bear in mind that the rank ship (reward bonus) you fly has a huge effect on this - as does your efficiency rating at the end of the mission/match. If you consistently perform near the bottom of your team, your profit will be minimal.

Oh believe me i performed very well in many matches yet the outcome is still the same. the best i ever got after a match was 75k and it doesn’t happen much. But this is all irrelevant for me now i am not playing this game again. as much as i love it i just can’t can do this i can’t keep grinding like this every time i need a new ship and i never said i wanted it to be too easy, i just don’t want it to be this difficult. They said this game is free to play but for some reason it just doesn’t feel like it. i am sorry if i wasted your time and the developers time because they seem really busy, too busy to mind us talking.I have seen many games doing the same thing trying to get money using the same methods and i never complained but this game, i had high hopes for this game. i am sorry i think i am making a big deal out of this. i guess it’s just business, and they are right. i mean what isn’t these days?

I usually stick to one ship at T3, and most of the time I get 30-40k profit no matter how badly the match went.  However at T3 you are looking at 16 matches per blue item (give or take) and 25 for a blue weapon.  To fully kit out a T9 ship in blues takes 233 games.  That comes out to 58 hours of game time, not to mention the time needed to get the ship in the first place.

Compared to WoT, that is a drop in the bucket, but compared to CoD, battlefield or Halo that is way too long, and I don’t have to wait for matches with those games.

Also, that is a big step up from T2, where a new ship can be bought after about 16 games, and a piece of blue equipment after 5.  And of course all that discounts the grind of the intervening two ships to get to the end of the tree.

It is a pity really, everyone gets to the top of T2, outfits the ships, then grinds until they unlock end tier T3 and can equip some good gear.  Most people skip the intermediate stuff because you are at such a huge disadvantage vs. the top tier equipped groups.  At best you grind PvE, but even that isn’t great because it seems the devs are always balancing it out for top tier groups, not bottom tier.  Essentially, you are stuck as cannon fodder for a large number of games until you can get set up, and as you go up in tier, the length of time as expendable cannon fodder increases.

If the Devs really wanted to help out, they would drop the purchase cost and repair costs for bottom and mid tier significantly.
