Revert 1.3.4 ore change

This is simply madness in every aspect. Even if you are able to get resources from loot spots after battle, it doesn’t make it any easier. You said that ship parts “can be found in ship wreckage in Open Space” yet I’m 99.9% sure that not one single ship part has ever been found there.

The change to loot is welcome, but increasing the grind even further is not, by any means, wanted or needed. Please for the love of all things sane and simple, revert these awful loot nerfs.

I’d be okay if they increase it just a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, but that increase is… NUT GUD.

Less people play invasion = the better

Agreed and agreed. But still. Going from 3 ore to 10 per plate is sheer stupidity. Even if you can get it in other modes. The rarity is probably still just as insane as monos from mobs in invasion.

Feel free to provide your data on loot chances after a battle

According to devs.
It takes about 6 hours each day for a hole month to get the needed materials.

Thats insane.

Breaking it down more.
6h * 31days = 186 hours total…

now… example take neodium plates needed. 32. (320 impure neodium)

320/186 =  ~1.7 per hour.

Now. how many battles can you do for each hour?
Assuming PVP with no queue time… 6Min per battle max.
60/6 = 10 battles per hour.

Each battle gives you 3 loots, giving a total of 30 loots. where 1.7 of them is neo.
((1,7 / 30) * 100) = ~ 5,666% chance of getting a neo. this number seems a bit hight to me. but this is by using numbers probived by devs.
Now this is assuming you only win, not taking into account losses.

The grind has become unbearable.

“Has become”???

Pardon my ignorance, but which dev and where did he say these nubers?

What if it includes open space?

What if they assume newbies with terribad win percentage?

What if they assume no prem license?

Sadly there isnt more details on the numbers.

* With the current changes. i would think that in OS it would take ages with the current spawn rates of rare materials.

* Yeah if win/loss stat is bad. it speak for itself its going to take longer.

* Ofcource premium also affect this since you get extra loots.

That is my point 6h/day for a month is an empty statement.

It well may mean that its fastest possible rate, or it can be the slowest. Its probably a gross estimation on average f2p player, and most likely there is a room for a player to optimise gains if he puts hismind to it, as always.

Oh and here is another angle:

For me, pre 1.3.4 meant obtaining a destroyer not through gold purchases was a time frame of “years to never”, i had next to zero Monos income (cant do Leagues cause no opponents, and rare 1-2 monos from spec ops), i had zero Beryllium/Neodium income.

Now for having same play-style and doing absolutely nothing different from what i was doing before, i am looking at obtaining resources for Destroyers/Craft ships without directly purchasing containers.

So i went from never to soon.

Or maybe it’s simply an arbitrary number given to satisfy a question from someone who doesn’t check their given facts.

We will never know without exact drop ratios from the devs.

27 battles today, 3 specops, 6 PvEs. Total - 8 hours including OS. Full Prem and DLC, 10 loot attempts in Specops, 8 in PvE, 7 in PvP.

Total 268 loot attempts.

final result - 7 monocrystals, 1 impure neodium, 0 beryllium. I asked people in my corp they had up to 2 impure neodium after whole day. No beryllium drop reported.

Just for one R11 destroyer  you need 200 impure neodium which means you have to do 100-200 days like this. We are talking few THOUSAND battles for one destroyer. If that’s definition of “soon” then you have to be an old Englishman (you know - “100 years is not a such big timeframe”).

At the beginning you could get an impure neodium every 6 minutes of Open Space farming, then it went up to around one in 20 minutes. So we are talking again 200 minutes - 3 hours per plate, 60+ hours for 20 plates, which - sorry - is THE MOST BORING THING IN THE WORLD. I don’t know what the current idea of business model for this game is, I know this - 2 years ago to 1 year ago I was happy to spend hundreds of euros on this game. Because I could and I was rewarded with interesting game and rewards. Now I don’t want to spend a cent more on this. It’s just frustrating product where there are no changes to improve a feeling of this game.

EDIT: just found out this jewel “To get materials for rank 8 destroyer, you’ll need rank 8 max synergy ship, not rank 9.”  by ST_Team

Which is the most moronic thing I saw today. I just recalled I got that single impure neodium for flying R8 destroyer in SpecOps.

So to earn materials for destroyers we are limited to R8s and R11s. You must be effing kidding me.

While I dislike being pitted into r8 and r11, i still prefer that over nothing.

Drop rates for using “proper” ranks yet to be public.

I peronaly do not see a valid ground for mat gains complains.

How about we complain about something at hand, like specific ranks? And after we get more proper info for drops we expand our whining horizons.

I do agree with fox’s point in the OP since they increased the potential yield of neodium and beryllium but also increased the requirements for one plate/bar/whatever by 3x.

I’m not sure about the specific ranks part. I used 3 R11s and a R12 in my lineup (using each once at least) and still got a beryllium ore.

So apparently you only need to be carrying a ship of the correct rank to be eligible for drops, whether you use it or not.

I had about 5 wins and 1 Defiler this session (all in r11s)

i got 2 Berries from PvP and 1 Berry +3 Monos from Spec Op

I have a license

Hard to say, i might as well be very lucky, but so far this is 1000x better than pre 1.3.4, at least to me. Now to complain about having to play r11s :frowning:

I don’t know how good or bad is the drop rate since I didn’t had enough time to play so far. For me a more grind envoirinment is not a problem since is more tied to pvp instead of open space.  But  the fact that I really really hate is the restriction to specific ranks.

To the point I wuold prefer to have back the old boring os missions sistem instead of forcing me to play r8 and r11 every day.

What is the point for me to go back in those tiers? N€€bfarming? :frowning:

I wanna kick n€€b’s arses in their r15 ships!
