OK, so I was T2, with 0.8.0 I have at least 1 T3 Craft. I also have some of my previous craft with no-longer maxed synergys, and being partially OCD for completion, I kit out all my slots with the T1 craft and equipment and go battling.
So of course, I’m now in the Mixed T1-T3 battles in my little T1 craft and frantically ducking/weaving and dodging in order not to get blown away in under 3 seconds and hopefully shoot an enemy down in order to go some way to complete one of the faction conquests.
Regardless of how impressively I survive, in PvP I finish the mission and pull in a whopping 118 reputation points… At Maximum.
PvE is normally at best half that amount…
Error (the dude, not the event) informs me that this is the result of the reputation fix of a previous update in order to stop higher tiered players dropping down and ‘farming teh n00bz lol’ (or something to that effect).
I would like to suggest that this gets modified in a future release so that reputation gain instead is based on Maximum strength of your available craft in the battle (ie all T1 level 1s with Mk 1 gear being soft as, most T1s Lvl 1 Mk1s and a T4 Lvl11 Mk3 being ranked as per the toughness of the T4 craft) vs the composition of the playing field and modified by your win loss ratio…
Or some combination of those factors at least.
Surely someone who barely wins a match, has limited and weak equipment deserves a higher reputation gain if they survive and/or defeat a tougher, more experienced opponent… and n00b squashing should indeed be frowned upon, but surely if you put two people of equal skill into equally powerful craft (or in this case weak craft) it should be worth more…
So that’s my suggestion (or pleading request) which can be summed up in the phrase ‘Please re-examine how you allocate rewards sometime soon.’
Cheers
EDIT: Attached an example of what is currently the case, the screenshot is the last game in the log… C’mon guys, Is this fair?
