Repulsor Module

Simple craftable module that functions like the plasma arc, but instead of damaging enemies in the radius, it warps them in the direction it’s facing by 3500m, like the RT.

*works on squadded team-members as well.*

sounds fun.

there is similar “skill” in other game   :fed001:

Not to be a killjoy, but there is already something very similar in the game.

The Command fighter class has a Gravi-scanner that grants a speed boost to all units within range to help them get to the battle as a group. So in that sense, there is a similar module already.

Also, Engineer frigates have the Warp Gate, which is usable by other units, and functions exactly like a Micro-warp.

The other thing is, something like this would break game balance, as it would allow units (like Guards frigates) to Micro-warp in to capture or protect objectives all by themselves. That is an unforgivable sin, according to the community.

So, unfortunately… no.

I don’t want to get kicked around by ships like in football, that would become more annoying than Stasis.

Like SoldiersFortune said, unfortunately, no.

sounds fun.

For the user, probably.

For the opponent, noooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Ahahahaha… just imagine for a moment, the havoc such a module would cause!

Warp-push guards into pillars or just make them feel lonely. The skilled players would push ships into other ships, creating more havoc!

Fox, where do you get these funny ideas? Somebody get a developer, we need to fork Star Conflict: Comedian Edition

This is just stupid.

ok… lets say it gets in game… oh lets have the whole team load one and go capture a beacon in Sector Conquest… the other team gets close and pop them away so you can get the cap. Eng giving you problems by doing his job on and buffing his team… lets just pop him on to the edge of the map with two guys working together… any good inti gets close to you just pop him away and you get two more shots at him while he’s disoriented … dead inti.

This is another super soldier OP suggestion… why am I not surprised.

that sounds hilarious. also hugely annoying. if it was introduced i would probably quit pvp and live out my days warping people around in pve

any good inti gets close to you just pop him away and you get two more shots at him while he’s disoriented … dead inti.

Somehow I missed the fact that this is an offensive module meant to sling your enemies uncontrollably in a certain direction. I thought this was only a mobility booster for your team.

That’s just… no bueno. I see a Guard causing my team trouble. I sneak up behind him and THUD him into the asteroid he’s using for cover. Instant kill.

Funny, but broken. That would get more hate than any ECM module to date.

How about a warp torpedo? It’s just like a regular torpedo, but instead of causing damage, it micro-warps every ship in its explosion radius in every direction.

Imagine the turmoil, it’s too funny!

Ok… Disregarding the nonsense that everyone is throwing around:

1)This module only works on squadded members. Not team members.
But squadded members.

2)This module does not warp like warp-gates. It teleports like RT. So no crash damage.

3)I had interceptors use in mind when I thought of this, so no frigate-pushing fights.

4)It will probs have a similar cooldown to T3 RT, so it won’t exactly be that carnage-creating.

5)If engineers can toss an infinite number of players (guards and slow af players included) 5000m with the push of a button, how would 3500m for one-two players be game-breaking?

(Thought it world be great way for inties to toss around enemy LRFs. XD)
*(Also I was thinking it could be one if those things like the Spector field that you use to save allies. A friend could be half-hull and a torpedo incoming, you warp him out and take the hit.)

*6)And how tf is this ANYTHING like Graviscanner??? I mean seriously…

*7)Micro-warp is an instantaneous acceleration multiplier and I’ve seen speeds of up to (insert very high speed here) reached with it. Warp-gates maintain a constant 2000m/s for 2.5 seconds when they warp players.

THINK before commenting please.

I’ve seen speeds of up to 54,000m/s reached with it.

The full travel on Micro-Warp takes a couple of seconds, you didn’t see 54km/s speed on it, it’s literally impossible. Basically because it would be an insta jump, just like the RT.

Lel. No. Next time you use microwarp, watch your speed indicator. It just flies up when you jump. Probably why the radar has such a hard time keeping up with jumping inties and why it makes their indicator jump all over.

I did 2 tests and the speed went from 1k to 2k, 3k, 4k, 5k, 6k, and then went back faster to 0. As I said, 54k is literally impossible.

Edit: after 2 more tests I confirm that the ship doesn’t get more than 6.5-6.6k m/s.

Edit2: I’ve spammed the screenshot button while jumping and can’t get a shot with higher than 6.Xk m/s speed.

Edit3: Took the time to upload it

Now if you can provide a screenshot with 7k or more speed I’ll take my words back.

Ok, you want the gloves to come off? Because I was being pretty mild in my criticism for the sake of your feelings.

Well I must 'ave been hallucinating then. 'Cuz I know I saw something with 5 digits. Oh well.

And try jumping with a faster equipped ship. (One that can already go 700m/s)

I have no feelings.

I have no feelings.

Then you won’t mind if I inform you that September’s edition of ‘Ask the Devs’ had a statement that confirmed no more new offensive modules will be added to the game. So, unfortunately, threads like this are a waste of time.

Now, I can either be nice and give constructive criticism, or I can just crush your hopes outright next time. Your choice.

Well I’d love some actual criticism, actually.

And read just above 6, I believe. This is also a survival/team-defense module. It will promote squads and team-play.

I’ll do a test with a Falcon-M 700m/s. Also I edited a couple of times my post, so look at it again.

Dun did. I am eager for the results.

I did a test with this build trying to even get 700m/s without afterburner (couldn’t).

Same results.
