I am referring to the requirement that you need X ships of Y faction before you can purchase ships of rank Z in that faction. I get that these serve a purpose in preventing tier-rushing, but if I have tier 5 ships in one faction already, then this requirement isn’t really doing anything. Instead it should be a cumulative count of ships across factions, and maybe increase the threshold by 50% to compensate.
I have T4/T5 Federation and Jericho ships, but only T2 Empire. It seems that I have to farm a bunch of T1 and T2 before I can use any Empire ships in dread battles… this is not really fair to people who are actually in T1/T2.
No it’s rubbish. This single addition to the levelling system has and will continue to cost them many players. This was anything but a smart move for this game. Also, might I add that if it MUST be kept for whatever reason, the OP’s suggestion would help drastically. Keep the same numbers. Just make it cumulative.
Just think of all those lovely free ship parts while your doing it!!
So yeah, it is fair!!
Think of all the poor newbies in T2 that I’d be farming. How many of them are going to quit?
Basically this requirement should be implemented such that shouldn’t get in anyone’s way if they are learning and playing the game normally (i.e. not rushing for rank 15 asap).
