I hate the squads and i dont support the topic, they were really op back in old times dont know about now but generally battles are well balanced more than before imo.
Have to disagree there. I had the best balanced battles right before the July patch. Now almost every single match is a stompfest with one side destroying the other. This is a team game
by design. So it would make sense that people working together on a team would be better. Isn’t that the point? I mean you come alone you are weaker than if you bring your friends. And when
more people can play with friends and squad, more people have fun and tell their friends.
Otherwise you may as well play single player deathmatch (which I’m not opposed to as a different game mode in the future)
My problem with the present situation is that I cannot play with the people I meet. I have a friend so we can only do 2 people squad, meaning that League is forbidden. We stop trying to play pvp because the witing is punishing.
This bother me too because I often play with newbie and go pvp with them. Now I cannot. (what the point of my beautiful low level premium ship if not to help low level player?).
I do think that team should be face with other team but only if possible. If not possible then they should fight against either a bigger team, a smaller team or put 2x2men team against a 4men team…etc…and if after 3 minutes nothing match, send them in the first match possible, team or no team.

This is, in my opinion, the core of the game’s problems. It has many hard limits that force people away from each other and from the game content, which is both very unhealthy for an online game. The way I see it, player retention needs to raise (that’s the only way to get properly balanced matches in the long run), and the hard limits in the game design need to vanish.
It’s really sad, because the core gameplay is actually very well done. I’d rate it top tier in pc gaming. Unfortunately, the surrounding design in terms of player management severely limits the success. And I’m not talking about community management, I’m talking about leading the players through the game. Many improvements have been done (the new matchmaking that allows joining mid-game is awesome, for example), but there are a handfull things that still cripple the game in a big way.
I just wanna play with my friends. Simple. A game that cannot offer this to me like Star Conflict version [whatever we are on now] is worthless in my eyes. I’m not interested in pve or fighting a bunch of Aces in destroyers. The only gamemodes where I can be wth my friends are repetitive and time-consuming. Preparing for hours just for a couple of matches. There is no way for me to play with anyone I bring to the game either. I got my brother started on it, guess what? he left after 5 days because we couldn’t play together and he didn’t want to level up all his ships by himself…
He gave you the answer - leagues are now PvP with squads. So why not add all game modes to Leagues? Extension to 8 players will be good and now we will have pure 8v8 wings for vets.
Make a 4v4 + 8v8 squad game-mode where anyone can join at any time
teams are made of two 4-man squad or one 8 man squad
Also for that mode it should be possible to select your region.
= money + people will play the game all the time*
*You can have real rivalry between corps/teams - Constant 24/7 ongoing competition and TOTAL CARNAGE!!!
And there will be no random players guaranteeing feeding on either team. - Teams can be created and disbanded easily with no limits, just like any other game.
It has activity only due to the fact of being available on strict schedule, make it less strict on times, and your activity will drop tremendously. Been there already multiple times.
