Hello everyone. Now, we all like to joke around but recently there has been some serious anti-semitic commentary about the Islamic faith and the prophet Muhammad coming from some players of this game. I’ve attached a screenshot. As this is in the “suggestions” section, here is my suggestion: I suggest players of Star Conflict not engage in this type of behavior, as in many places this is classed as “hate speech” or “inciting racial tension” and is actually a criminal act, punishable by the courts.

 

I realize that the devs can’t prevent people from being ignorant, but at least if there were a statement released that this behavior is not condoned, it may set the situation at ease some.

 

I leave this in your capable hands.

Well looks like he said that for a reason “Mplicit was promoting islam in general chat today here…”

Personally i dont give a s**t about any religion, but if people start to put that stuff in my face, I could get anoyed as well.

So… you’re justifying his remarks? If asking him not to make prejudicial remarks against Islam in global chat means I’m “promoting” Islam, then so be it - that isn’t against the law. The fact is that hate speech and incitement of racial tension is a crime and your comments, Sunder, are borderline as well.

If thats true, then it’s a different story. My whole point is that I would prefere talks about religion to be kept out of game regardless of hatefull or promiton type.

About your problem - quite possible, that It could simply be ignored/forgotten. There have been topicks about afk farmers and other people who are messing up games, but as far as I know Gaijin is showing quite a small interest dealing with specific people. It lack moderators.

I somewhat chose my words. I didn’t insult any specific religion or religions overall. I stated my interest in the matter in a rude way.

Also hey ive seen enough islams with their burqha covered “slaves” to hate it… i kinda have to agree, islamist do travel from village to village rape young girls and take their future, and thats not only a historical fact. A good friend of mine was forcibly married and taken from germany, then raped and killed to death by her 40 yo older “husband”. great honorable religion your islam.

 

Also the quran doesnt say to veil woman, thats the bible, your book only says to beat them. Do you btw know that your basic religious preching rhetoric you are using, especially the point with branding everyone speaking up as a bigot. That fuels more of my hate then a group of n.a.z.i.'s (and trust me THOSE i really hate)

If anything, I am glad that LadyAlekto’s disgusting outburst has illustrated that there is indeed a problem with anti-semitism on star conflict. It creates a hostile atmosphere for anyone who values tolerance and there are a great many of us who would prefer that it stop.

You must not know the definition of tolerance… Let me help you with that. 

 

*  The capacity for, or the practice of recognizing and respecting the beliefs or practices of others.

 

The thing about tolerance is that it is something that has to be given up front, not earned over time as you would put it. Because if it has to be earned, it implies that you weren’t tolerant to begin with. Makes sense? 

 

Let me frame my next point. I am not affiliated with any religion. I’m agnostic. Which means that I believe that humans are just simply not capable of making the determination if there is, or isn’t a higher power. So therefore, ruling out any possible scenario in another persons beliefs is not only ignorant, but also arrogant.

 

The fact is, nearly 25% of the human population is Musilm (ie. follower of islam or ‘islamist’ as they put it in 'Murca (and other places where people have been conditioned by mass media into believing that it’s evil). 

So looking at your first post, you claim that nearly 25% of the worlds population are rapists. You should really do a little research rather than allowing yourself to be brainwashed into making such harsh generalizations. You are the example of what’s wrong in the world. Generalizations based on the actions of the few, resulting in the hatred of many. How about we treat each human with individual respect until they make a case for not deserving it?

 

We shouldn’t jump on anyone for coming to the defense of their beliefs. I was in chat and saw people saying lots of antisemitic things with no provocation. it was just random intolerance for the sake of being mean. But of course there are people like you who will always try to twist the blame on the victim, because of your own personal ignorance/intolerance about/toward Muslims. 

 

The bottom line is that it’s a game and it’s supposed to be fun. Lets treat others how you would like to be treated with no exceptions. Even atheists should follow this basic moral code.
