I’ve been wondering if I would see one of these pop up, considering I had most if not all the GM’s on my follow list and the vast majority of them haven’t been on in months. I’d apply myself because there is a distinct lack of them if it wasn’t for how that would bite into my play time and even if I say I can do it there’s no evidence to prove that. In fact there’s some evidence to the contrary as I do have a belief that as a player trash talk is healthy as long as it is not discriminatory on factors outside game performance, so long as both parties have willfully comitted themselves to a mutual competition. I am happy to see that you are looking for these people on the english portion of the forums but I would think for such a game that a capacity in both english and russian would be a more valuable asset than somebody who speaks solely english.
Potential GM’s should be well reported on in the community. If someone wants to become a GM they should need to have the following along with the current requirements.
A good reputation in the forums.
A lot of time spent in the game and on the forums.
Is well reported on by others and even other GM’s
Also has a good standing in a corp, as then others can testify to the persons actions even in game.
(I technically meet all those…)
People who strive for popularity often struggle with attention seeking disorders, and giving them the reins of authority can be a recipie for disaster as they try to please their friends while at the same time gratify themselves. Being a GM has absolutely nothing to do with popularity and everything to do with how lawful neutral you can be. A GM’s behavior is nothing like a player’s behavior at all, as the responsibility one inherets is vital to a social environment that promotes game success, while a player’s behavior is primarily oriented at personal success within the game environment.

There are still enough active GMs, but you are right that a couple of them got inactive.
We have Russian GMs that are able to speak English. However English and Russian chat are seperated so both groups have their “working space”.

so? is that a no? u know u cant catch devils with angels so if u wanna get rid of a troll u should hire a troll and u can trust me i am the most badass troll in this game i even have my believers of garlicologists… but really trust me i dont need an option of banning to silent a troll i am just asking for making my job little easier on them so i can silent them without typing pages to them… ty

I prefer my GMs to type “you” instead of “u”
It shows a bit more dedication I find, and less laziness
You don’t ask to be GM. It’s the GM who come to you.
