As stated across the forums and in the game, the Reactor Overload module, previously dubbed “Self-Destruct,” is one of, if not the, most pointless modules in the game. The new functionality makes it slightly more useful, especially for uncloaking nearby enemies, but it still doesn’t seem like it should fit in to, and subsequently waste, an Active Module slot.
I propose to change it to a CovOps class passive module. I have layed out what it should be below:
Name: Suicide Modification
Type: CovOps Passive Capacitor Module
Tooltip: “Upon your hull being breached, your reactor will be detonated causing a massive explosion inside your ship. Because the debris left behind is radioactive, all enemies caught in the field will slowly take thermal damage for 5 seconds.”
<small>Because “Covert Operations” usually have classified data, destroying your wreckage after it becoming useless makes sense. Just thinking out loud.</small>
