Based on what a Game Master told me, Rating is only based on kills.
So basically the guy taking all the kills wich is most suited for ECM and Recons / Tacklers or faster ships. Its not really suited for Guards or Engineering classes for those who likes that.
so here is an example after the patch. wich i like how damage influence everything based on score. (but what does score really mean if the rating is not based on score) should make more Ratings in Stats for each player. (like on leaderboards)
At enemy n1. before patch
2 kills 6 assist = 680 points.
After patch = Unknown.
but here its a bit less than double.
assist as max i seen is 200 points (this is in Domination) regular match.
So yea i think the rating system is not really suited for Guards and slow ships. because the interceptors normaly attacks every ship with low health.
Alot of players with high rating are only Interceptors or tacklers, gunships. when everyone else does the work someone else steps in and takes the kill to get higher rating.
cant we make a system based on how much points we get out of kills including assists?
Very many high rating players does not like to die often so if they play with interceptors against guards/tacklers. they basically just hide in the end of the map to avoid death wich i dont think is very skilled.
If they loose They hide and Let us win match and or disconnect. if rating is supposed to show how good a player is, then its doing a bad jobb atm.
(dont flame the picture, its just an example)
and if they come in a 2v2-3v3 without their squad against guards they basically sit back and watch themself loose. (people often do one attempt to see how strong we are at first by attacking us, but if its no good they basically sit back 10 000 meters away from their own beacons.
And for all of those who likes interceptors the most or have high rating using just fast ships, no offence, but justice is justice.
