Railguns Patch 0.6.0 Feedback

Assautl Railgun:

Not tested yet.

Rapid-fire Railgun:

I think it is a little bit too strong at the moment. In a 1on1 I am killing almost everyone with this weapon.

Perhaps it should deal 20% less damage.

Heavy Railgun:

Not tested yet.

Stabilized Railgun:

Not tested yet.

Assault railgun: Maybe heating is too fast, it should be lowered a bit and maybe even a little less spread, it looks like a machine gun spread as of now eheh,

If possible, adding a dot at the center of some weapon’s crosshairs would help alot, sometimes you get lost while shooting.

rapid fire railgun is missnamed its a fringing shotgun now.

assault railgun is fairly inaccurate now especially at range

havent tested the other ones.

I tested rapid fire railgun

I think they are quite nice no really sure they are overpowered.

I think that weapons affected by slow barrel are obviously snipering weaponds so all the other weapons will look overpowered! But they are not they are just normal, so remove the weird slow barrel and anything would be be better balanced, there other way to compensate the snipering power (reducing range, fire rate etc.)

But i find the animation is really poor now.

Dunno but all sniper weapons except the stabilized rail have slow barrels. This is making them extremly strong in mele and unable to dodge them. Also a very high hit dmg, mostly killing my interceptor within 2 hits.

It also feels like every t2 attacker is carrying this weapon.

Hmmm, you make an interesting point - I can see how slower barrels make it easier to hit in melee.

Let’s do some brainstorming, what do you think we can do to make it more of a sniper weapon, perhaps add some kind of distortion when they are used at extremely close range?

Sorry but i simply dont get what you whant. This weapon is more desinged for long range combat and its the only one without slow barrels. Also the on hit dmg is making this weapon extremly strong in mele specially agains an interceptor that cant take so much dmg. I simply cant dodge it. Lets find out if you can survive against anyone using stabilezed rails. I guess you wont.

Just trying to think up a way to fix up the problem, no need for the passive aggressive attitude.

Heavy railgun firing speed is too low.

Assault railgun spread is too big.

Stabilized seems fine.

exactly. two snipers with it in enemy group and it was killing everything, my intereceptor is 2 hit debris.

Personally i think railguns are only 10% over powered. and shouldent be nerfed beyond say 12.5% of its damage. i say this because my plasma, and rains both do 2k ish dmg a hit. so if rains are op because of damage, so is plasma.

I think the issue is that we done realize that because projectiles from plasma dont hit as much

to tell the truth is was never the railguns that were the problem (except the raipid fires)…its the noobisch 8000 meter shooting laser Aces who are ruining the game …with weapons that can shoot thas far …the energe/power useage must be much higher

if your going to test the Rail guns you need to do this vs a person you know that you know exactly what hes is using…seeing as there are moduals that increse the speed and damage of rail guns up tp 80% and its very easy to come to a WRONG conclusion …

personaly the stabilized rail guns are ruined …it cant be that a large ship needs 7-8 shots to destroy a intercepter or fighter

i so agree, i think rail guns (atleast the ones i have used) are on key, maybe a slight damage nerf.

Playing with the off-wall weapons atm.

Assault railguns damage needs to be near double of what it is. specialically on attack ships / frigate.

also hailstorm, can use a damage buff say maybe another 40-50 dmg base?

How about a windup time for snipers?
