20% better weapons on most ships without any serious downside? Seems like a bit too much, considering how much damage some weapons already deal…

Maybe 15% higher projectile velocity or something like that…

Just an idea. We need a shield mod or two that increase damage capabilities. Hull too.

We could also use an active module that increases weapon damage(wait), or even better, a missile that increases weapon damage, or a weapon that increases weapon damage, or a resource that increases weapon damage, or we could leave it as it is because there are enough balancing problems to take care of.

Eh. Yer mostly right. Devs not focusing on balance atm. They don’t need any other problems to “fix” (nerf into oblivion).

With turning regeneration off and increasing wep dmg 10-12%, yeah, could be viable. Most of the builds won’t even feel the lack of shield regen, so… If you wanna go that way it’d make much more sense to lower shield resists, give high flat negative regeneration (either offset by shield regen mod, or your shield falls down on its own), or hamper shield volume.

No, this just translates to +20% damage to all imperial ships!

Considering it’s just a rough idea for an item, these numbers obviously AREN’T FINAL.

And it doesn’t have to increase damage. Could increase RoF or range or cooldown or something.

Once again: buff doesn’t have to be damage, and doesn’t have to be 20%. Just some random numbers.

So what you meant to say in the original post is

" shield slot module. It gives a random buff with a random value and offset with random debuff of the random value. "
