T4 meta is like SecCon meta. When you have less skill or lower quality equipment you use guerilla warfare and make the enemy over extend themselves.

Yes, because one game is more than enough to get a proper view.
Yesterday I played 15 games between 6 pm and 9 pm. Excluding the SQ ones, all my tier 4/5 games were 8v8 or higher.
Tier 4 is not dead, in fact, it has never been so alive as it is now.
But it’s not one game. That’s my point. I’ve seen no evidence in any of my attempts that T4+ is anything but dead content.

It is ok, I’m just telling you that you are wrong. T4 and T5 is alive, and the only problems are the lack of 3-4 pilot squads. But 2 pilot squads and solo works perfect.
Also, SQ is quite active, mostly because is the only way you can play in a 4 men squad in full rank 15 ships.

Well I found part of the problem - despite having a pure T4 lineup I’m being put in the T5 queue. So I can’t actually play T4 at all!

Anyway, depends on what time you play man. Play in prime time with T4, you should have more luck. That’s 4 hours or so from now on.

So they just flat out mixed the two. What the queue ACTUALLY does is treat T4 and T5 as ONE TIER and then has two queues; one for weak players, one for strong ones.
So if you rock at T3 and have 1300+ SR you and your R10 white ships get put against ESB’s Finest.

t4-t5 is only one tier with 2 queues now.
Even with full white r10 ships, you have to face full mk4 r15 ships.

Or mk.5! Like I did earlier today. My skill rating dropped like a rock.
Why would you mix tiers and then have two separate queues within that?

Devs are encouraging that skill doesn’t matter. Only gear does. Therefore upgrade your modules with GS and tier rush to T5 to have fun.
So, in the current meta I have to drop 350 rating and get to 1250 to be able to play good t4 match and eventually pass the 1300 and have to tank again ?

Yep. I think we can absolutely, conclusively declare that NOBODY should move up to T4 PvP ever. Skip it entirely, for your own good.

the only ships I need to level up in T4 are r10.
I do fine on r12, but r10 < syn lvl 5 vs maxed out r15 is not that great.

I agree, that is the reason I always level my ships to lvl 4 with free synergy before join pvp. Anyway, the first 4 ranks are pretty cheap in synergy.
Today I took a look at the < 1300 DSR queue.
Under 1300 DSR is like t3 in fact. You can bring your full white r10 and still be first here.
