I think in that case astraal, a bunch of blokes decided it would be a good idea to improvise a feared deathsquad with random dudes on the global chat, and the MM decided they were a BIG threat and putted them against another squad.

If two two man squads queue at the same time, it is technically possible they’d end up in the same match.  One MM change is that squads of the same corp won’t be on opposite teams.  Right?

We still fight our own members all the time, but they are mostly solo, so I don’t know for squads.

Yes, i had to carry these n00bs to victory alone. They did nothing. They just sat there like cowards and died like flies, eventually leeching the beacons off of me when there were like 20-10 points remaining. Barely made the win with one extra kill at the end with 26-25, in the last 2 seconds. I could’ve played the entire match alone.

 

I DO NOT WANT TO STRESS MYSELF THAT MUCH FOR SUCH PLAYERS EVEN IF I HAVE THE SKILL, FIX THE MM ALREADY

The game doesn’t have the population to keep isolated Tiers, same-skilled pilots, w/e in the same matches. It’s not possible. So we’re forced to deal with this.

I’m not talking about isolated tiers here, i’m talking about the skill balance where it fails. You know, that part where after a few wins / high SR it decides to screw you over?

MM can not create players, so we have to deal with w/e is present in the pool

It’s the same thing. The game tries to force a 1.0 WR on you. HOW you deal with those odds is up to you. You can call the newbies idiots or you can tell them where to go and what to do.

Enny was in a CTB game with me the other night where I brought then only engi for our entire 8 man team.  The other team was loaded MMwise so we just went in the opposite direction of their frigball.  

Funny thing is being the only engi meant most of our team followed the heals, so we pulled a Blitzreig achievement on them while they were distracted killing off our cannon fodder on the opposite side of the map.

Lol, i can do 10 things while i tell them to do 1, so why bother? They can’t comprehend further than the crosshair in front of them and LMB.

I think the Queue system should reject ANY engeneer that queues without heals. Should reject anyone without full slots equipped (including ammo) Reject ppl without implants, Reject ppl that starts to keep afk too much in battles.

The game does that. You can’t spend 1 minute on the tactical map sitting still, waving your mouse around. The game just kicks you.

I wish there was a “You seem to be derping, please try again later” message box.

This. If your WLR is less than one the game should try to match you with people who are also below one. Likewise, as you start creeping up to 1.1 or 1.2 WLR, you should be matched with people who are also climbing.

 

This system would organically find people’s actual skill level - the more you win, the tougher your opposition. Far better than the current model, which is “oh, you won three games… xxxx you! Here’s a team of idiots who haven’t even plugged their mouse in!”

yeah its true. Some say they need to follow the racing model, where everything is based on skill, not on gear. 

Any moron can have a fully kitted purple ship, but failing how to use it properly or even fitting it properly, is where some fail.
