Yesterday, the price for me to buy 50 more storage slots was 20k credits. Today it’s 200k! Yesterday, the price to reimplant at rank 4 was (if I recall correctly) something like 5k credits. Now it’s 950k!
What is going on? The devs jacked up the prices on ships in last week’s patch and everyone raised hell about it, so their response in this week’s patch is to raise the price of storage by 10X and the price of respecing by 190X?!
this reminds me when Battlefield Heroes went open beta.
all the fans left. no it’s become a game to take money away from kids. hope they don follow them. but seeing similar things, I doubt things will change.
Funny that they started that poll, got the majority of the population say that credits are most important to them, and then stroke right into that spot. Bravo!
How many people even need to re-implant? what percentage of the population has rank 6 in more than 1 faction? what percentage of people would need to do change more than one rank of implants at a time? (keep in mind, rank 2 implants only affect rank 2 ships, last i checked) Furthermore, what percentage of that population can’t afford that kind of cost after ~30 minutes of farming?

Considering that 950K is more than I have ever had at any one time on this game, that is far too much. I’ve been looking to start leveling the Federation or Jericho, but now I’m pretty much trapped with Empire because if I did level another faction I wouldn’t be able to afford to swap implants.
hmm, i have ~21 million but only because i just fly fed frigates. no empire, no jericho, no fighter or ints. just the highest frig i can get (atm: anaconda-m) so i don’t need to spend money on many different modules. player with more different ships will have a problem i guess… and to the implants: i always go to the highest level of a tier with ALL factions. atm i have lvl9 for fed and jericho, lvl7 for empire. and i guess, if i maybe will start with fighters or ints i have to switch some of the implants…
Any PvE mission about T1 makes a bunch of cash. Shame they’re rather dull. All you ever need do is tank Therm and you’re more or less good to go.
Still, I’m beginning to think the developers don’t know how to make subtle changes? Sure, 5k was too little, everyone agreed with that. Multiplying the price by 190 however seems a bit arbitrary and over-the-top no matter who you ask. Hell, you didn’t even document the changes in the patchnotes!
I can do a video guide of my corp doing T2s (only 2-3 of us + 1 random, sometimes 4) we run the scenarios down in either 7 minutes or 9 minutes, netting around 140k per scenario not including potential loot.
