Premium Ships and Synergy

Now hold on, I realize I have been the ringleader of the “devs don’t listen to us” club for quite some time. But I would like to point out that my request to have the Jolly Roger DLC title changed from Desperado to Privateer was listened to and changed. Granted, it didn’t take a whole lot of effort and it was a simple fix. But that does mean there is hope to get things changed.

 

So again, what is needed is for Premium ships to get free synergy transfers or transfers via credit purchase (not GS as that is double-farming/double-dipping).

 

I am just as frustrated that all the Russian beta players who reached rank 15 before the cap was in place don’t have to re-grind levels 13-15 under the new synergy system. That stinks of favoritism; however, as a player who already reached rank 12 before the synergy screw-up, I am trying to get things fixed for those who are less fortunate.

 

So let’s keep this topic on track and see if we can get premium ships some value again.

He is the leader of text changes I believe and he is the only dev that has been actively listening to us and actually responding.

There is a song called Another brick in the wall by pink floyd, the song is completly irrelevant but the name is fitting for our situation…we are all just bricks for them and bricks don’t have voices. That is how it feels anyway.

I don’t get to magically buy the R11 Jericho ships I have an implant for.  Given the ship lines, it’d be easier for the people who had full synergied R12 ships to reach R13 and R14 with credits.  If they got to skip R13 and R14 ships, that’s wrong, but I doubt that happened.  The ship tree did make it easier to reach the top.  That R15 Fed implant looks like it’d be OP on Empire ships.  But I think it’s obvious the T5 implants are OP overall.  In any case, those R12 players would reach R15 by grinding one ship only.

After some grinding I now own R10 and R11 ships. In order to get the ships after them I am FORCED to play vs full squad of R15 ships or Slave under boring PvE. Exactly how good is interceptor in PvE actually ?!

So out of 5 matches only 1 matches me with T4 vs T4 and the other 4 are … When flying in full T4 squad we actually put up a fight and win 1 out of 3, but what about the common player ? We just feed ESB and few more squads even more with free loot. 

Not to mention the puny rewards regarding synergy when (not if, but when) you lose.

 

Once I got matcher with 2 other T4 players and one who had 3 ships no higher than R8 !!! versus guess what ? Full R15 squad.

 

I understand it is not permanent solution and “We need to wait until enough people switch to T4” but I do not want to be forced to stay in T3 (I have all r9 loyalties already) and grind towards 12 for months !

 

Or should I (and many other players) just do what I did after 0.8.0 and stop playing for few months ?

Here’s an interim potential solution.  Take all those T5 squads when there’s no queue, split them in half and put two bots on each side.  If they want to play and dominate so much, let them dominate eachother.  No more 4v4 squad vs random matches!

 

As an added bonus, they can discuss strategies against their opponent.

How do you think they got all their T4 ships maxed before T5 came out?  They had to play each other.   Sadly enough though with the implants the way they are T5 being mixed in with T4 will cripple player progression while the Russian squads get even stronger with all the free farm.

They got their stats maxed because the old progression was actually doable and fun.

You got 2-6k loyalty per match in T1/T2, same with reputation. So they got to R15 very quickly, and us “newlings” are stuck with a system that will take us over 2 years to max out. And honestly, I don’t see myself getting full T5 mk3 with the current grind. It is already boring to do it as is to get R12, R15 will be near impossible with this system.

Yfw you realize that every “Tester” in this game is ruskie.

Yup, the russians had the game in very easy mode. Loyalty at max in about 2 months, instead of 2 years. Reputation in about the same time. The only thing keeping them slow was credit gain, however I wouldn’t be surprised if that used to be a lot higher as well, hearing that there are people with several hundreds of millions of credits.

It was faster, based on what others have said. Everything was faster - loot was worth more, loyalty was easier to get, Reputation was so huge you could hit Rank 3 in a single match…

 

…and the worst part? The people who got Easy Mode are the ones with the Developer’s ear. They were all flying Rank 12 T4 whilst most of us were chugging through T1/T2, and now they’re all Rank 15 T5. And their ‘feedback’ is what screwed the matchmaking system. It’s likely what tanked the progression as well. T5 got ship progression that a lot of people have wanted for every tier… and no sign of it being passed down.

I just feel like this game was conceived with complete and utter failure in understanding how to put together a MOBA… It’s not even an MMO. It’s just… pathetic.

honestly IMO the devs probably wanna milk us by having to pay again for synergy transfers… since what they said premium ships have similar stats to other ships of the same tier, synergy transfer with GS is really bad let the alone the rate is worse… literally we paid for the ship that had minimal or hardly any advantages from the same tier ship, least let free synergy can be freely transferred via credits instead of GS… maybe like 1M for 100k synergy would be fair…

Premium ships should come with the best in class bonus stats…cause they’re you know…Premium.   

 

For example:

 

Engineer:   20% Module Strength or -20% Module reload

Gunship:  -20% Module reload

Recon:  50% Module Strength or  50% Module Range

ECM:  20% Module Strength or 50% Module Range

Guard:  -20% Module Reload or -20% Module Energy Cost reduced

LRF:  -20% Module Reload

Command:  20% Module Strength or -20% Module Energy Cost reduced

 

etc etc etc etc.  At no point should a premium ship have no bonus stats at all.  So now we’re spending real money just to skip out on 10-20k credits per game repair costs?  I’m almost positive they’ll fix the whole premium ship fiasco but the question is how soon?

JavaJunkie I expect them to reach a mediocre game ~winter while it could have been an awesome game ~june. They really kept puting their own coffin together.
