I’m thinking about this for a long time. There should be a possible choice between game modes/regions and even maps.
I’m in EU, so EU/RU/NA server is ok, but Aisa takes such horrible lag and even can’t play (about 500 ping). I know it’s rarely to be thrown to Aisa Server, but it’s terrible :crazy: .
Another choice for the game modes is also awesome, cuz not everyone wanna play “all the random modes”. An example is the “capture the beacons” for tier 3, although it’s a good mode, I think there’r many many ppls who dislike it.
I dont know if there will be such feature, this sounds awesome, ye?

Well, no, it sounds awful. Do you want to fragment the Qs and the awfully small amount of people playing even more?
This is a nice idea, but it would increase the waiting times a lot.
Waiting times are through the roof anyway, and waiting 5 minutes for a battle that ends up being on the Asian server where the best I can do is just to disconnect instantly because of unplayable or at least entirely unenjoyable ping feels like a slap in the face.
I can see the reasons why you wouldn’t want to allow game mode and map selection and I agree with them but as to proper server selection like other games have it I fail to see the reasoning.
I can understand that some dislike having “capture the beacons” or other game modes and maps in the rotation, but dividing players on preferences now would not be a good idea. We have a very low player base to work with as is. Maybe it could be implemented if there was about double or triple the population.
To allow people to chose at the normal PvP skirmish which game mode they want is not a good idea.
Having players only play the region they selected and not constantly being put on other servers is a good idea (and had been suggested) but the devs decided to rather force the minority to play mostly on far away servers.

Why do you say that by the way? I feel the same way, but can’t really argue for it, so i just said the unarguable point: we don’t have enough people for it. Why would it be a bad thing to have separate queues? Other than no one would play random skirmish that way.

Because players would bring cookie-cutter setups even more than they already do, making the game less varied and ultimately less interesting. Also there’s always the risk that some game modes and maps fall by the wayside and effectively become unavailable, something you see happening in lobby games a lot.
