I keep seeing people say in chat or here in forums “depends on your play style dude …”
What are these playstyles people talk about?
I’ll update this original post with your input to draw up a list … lets hear it ace pilots.

Is there any more than
suicide
fight and fall back whne damaged?
Brawler. I like it up close and personal.
Magician.
Because I can.
Point man and disruptor. First one in, last one out. I break defensive lines and distract opponents while my team gets into position. ;]
Ninja.
I come from the shadows, I attack , gtfo like a kitty
I like to warp in, pop my mine field, fire my laser at close range and pop some drones and hull repair and draw enemy fire to my engi while the rest of my team does their work. Then if im lucky i lead them on a merry chase and warp away and if not i get blowed up.
Engi frigate as close range, high DPS, buffing support ship. More suited for defensive play so I do better in beacon and combat recon games.
When I used to pilot gunship fighters, was more of a flanking striker. Sneak around, kill off a frigate or two, get out. I’d kinda fail the last part though
Wolf.
We come in a pack - we bring our target down or die trying.
aut vincere aut mori - either to conquer or to die.
Or when that fails:
Kitty.
Because the other way of describing this animal accurately describes the play style.
Find a pretty rock, make a BBQ, and chill.
borrowed ZEIKs onionhead.
Privateer - steal people’s Beacons when unguarded, run away and let some other poor sap die trying when they are.
will update OP soon
Tactical brawler, i fit my ship for durability and buffs to main weapons and try to battle whatever enemy ships classes i counter.
When playing gunship: Frigates and commandships with my pure damage heavy rails setup (durability where dmg is not a option).
When playing tackler: Intercepters and gunships if it dont look at you. Lots of durability with some bonus speed and little energy boosts and a tad damage increase.
When playing command: Just behind the frontline, anything in range that is already under fire and not to fast for my heavy lasers. Some energy, tons of hull resists/strength (empire), one horizont module, no speed or damage increase.
Ofc i focus fire when it a good idea/attack priotity targets/overextending enemies, but i change my playstyle slightly when i change ship class.

I can confirm that, since I was more than once on the receiving end of your wolfpacks playstyle yesterday. We
ve had some good fights, mate :salute:
Sticking with the animal kingdom - my playstyle can be compared to a ram. Head on into the fight to take down engies and ECMs or, if that fails, to cause confusion and buy some time for the team. Unless Zap is around, then I prefer a rabbit playstyle - jump in, do some damage, jump out (run like hell), rinse and repeat :smoke:
Suicide Mineplacer: Get in quickly, place a bunch of minefield, die, and kill the **** out of aveery ship near beacon

Hehe, I do that a lot too. Had myself and two other engi frigates place minefields around a beacon in Beacon Hunt once. 'Twas a nice fireworks display :Dwop
Tackler — lurk around, find a juicy target, rush in, shoot for a bit, run out.
Engie — lurk around near beacons/capt, and assault the enemy position only when I have sufficient allies with me.
Guard — find a beacon/capt, park myself there. Alternatively, assault the enemy position when I have sufficient allies.
In detonation, regardless of my role, I tail my teammates with the bomb and shoot at enemies attacking my bomb carrier, or attack the enemy carrier. Occasionally, if I pick up the bomb by accident I try to plant it (guard frigate does this best under heavy fire, tackler does this best if there are no enemies around).
For beacon hunt, and domination, I usually go guard, warp in, pulsar, minefield… Doesn’t always kill much, but it weakens the enemy enough that my allies shouldn’t have too much trouble finishing them off. Then proceed to camp the beacon, if domination, or move on to the next, if it’s beacon hunt…
Combat Recon is ether camping on the commander as a Guard, or Engineer, as his selected ship dictates…
Detonation usually is my selected fighter for that tier, going after the bomb carrier… If we are down to one last station, I will go Guard and camp it…
Ninja.

Oh yeah ;D
I also like to sneak right up onto them and unleash a minefield…So much fun to watch
My playstyle: Fast pro Bomber, use my fastest ship, warp in use my nukes and another missiles.
I may get 4/5 kills in a row, keep firing at enemy ships, when i got low HP i warp back to my team.
