Add a hitbox to your own phaser bubbles so that your turrets aim at them like they do at other objects, and you don’t have to guess where to aim so that the bolt detonates it please~
(Make main weapon turrets think that bubbles are objects)

Or there’s a far simpler solution to your problem:

Or I could just open up the code and make one myself, but noooOOOOooooooo… I have to be a good foxy and not tamper with anything or I get permabanned… Boy if I was on the dev team I’d be all over this game’s code. Refining it, tweaking stats, LISTENING TO THE ENGLISH FORUMS, adding cool new modules and weapons, putting pretty much everything that Koro suggests in to the game, etc…

Do you even have an understanding of game coding? It’s hard sh*t. It takes a lot of work to actually implement these changes.
Please. I completely re-wrote the code for a similar game. And I wasn’t even “officially” a part of development. Best part: it all worked fine in multiplayer too~
Only problem I came across was that players with the official vanilla game couldn’t see some of my weapons or ship parts…
If I was “official,” I could have made all that published in an update so everyone could use it, yet I have to stick to a manual modding method…
Do you work on SC or something? I really wanna see what their code looks like… Their stupid formatting system is hard to crack. (Stopped trying ages ago when the devs threatened tho. Don’t ask questions.)
sorry, I dont get your suggestion, what do you like?

I don’t support the suggestion too much, but here is the sum. I wouldn’t think that it would be that high of a priority though.
Impleme nt an aim-assist reticule for phaser bubbles, so that you can shoot them more easily. Make the reticules like the ship aim-assist, where it is a dotted line, then a circle where you aim to hit the ship with projectile weapons like railguns or RF blaster s. Also, make the phaser bolt slightly lock on to the bubble (perhaps 0.5 degrees angle), just like how the heavy blaster slightly locks on to the ship that you are aiming at when you are aiming right over the reticule.
Close enough. I don’t think an aiming point is necessary, but the slight homing feature would be awesome.

The aiming point would take a lot of coding and dedication. It would be low priority as well.
I think that glitches with mysterious containers and texture quality would be more urgent. (psst, also more servers in the US, perhaps one in australia as well would be nice)
Would it… Well in that case… Howabout we focus on hardware? The US could always use more servers!!
(And some official advertisement!)
why do you think the current marker is not sufficient?
There is no marker
why do you think the current marker is not sufficient?
There is no marker for the phaser bubble. Sure, there is one for aiming at the ships , but not one for aiming at the phaser bubble.
Leave it to Gecko to not understand a clear suggestion. Do you even Phaser Command bro?
Well its all about ping for me; the phaser fast shot is really fast (even with supernova ammo) and the bubble is big enough to shoot if you zoom in. With 200 ping or so its not so hard to hit the bubble while standing still, problem is if you move and have some priorities (like placing a few shots before hitting the bubble); since you have to extra lead a lot and the ship movement confuses where the ball is going to (im pretty sure that if you have 0 ping you can just aim at the ball and you will hit without any need of lead), it gets hard as xxxx to hit it with high ping.
The idea if having a lead indicator (like the standard target lock) seems nice to solve ping, but i dont see any way of applying it. Please DONT make some weird weapon convergence: that could cause missleads like it does in some ocations. Because of high ping I’ve missed rail guns in a consistant way when shooting at a cargo ship at less than 200m, shooting clearly to it right near the lead indicator…shots go anywhere except where you aim (extremes of the screen). I dont want any more disrupting aiming spots, so dont do an aim assist hit box.
There should be a faint laser pointer, which aims towards the plasma ball projectile, if you want to detonate it.
It should be enabled in the HUD display. It would help with your aim, so that you can hit the ball and create a chain explosion.

laser pointer that considers ping? otherwise it seems useless. If it does, it should be at the same size of the bubble taking into account the distance between it and your ship…that way it doesnt mess with aim assist (have you seen how badly bubbles get missleaded because of high ping and lead marker? the closer the worse).

Can confirm: At 150 ping and about 500m, using booster circuit, bubbles often need to be aimed twice as far from the ship as the lead indicator says.
