Currently in Star Conflict there are modules that give linear bonuses (eg. directed repair which gives a set amount of hp per tick) and modules which give a percentage bonus (eg. extended capacitor which gives 30% more capacitor energy). Generally weapons and active modules will have linear statistics and upgrades have percentage modifiers (but not all).
What I would like to suggest is for active modules to have percentage modifiers. For example, as a frigate stacking hull hp 100pts of directed repair is almost meaningless in a fight, but makes a HUGE difference to allied interceptors who only have 3000 hull. If directed repair repaired say 4% of hp per second it would still be useful for interceptors but it would make all the difference for a hull stacking frigate who can now regenerate a much larger amount of hull hp per second because the player invested in hull hp implants and mods.
Not a good idea for following reasons:
- Would make empire ships far too overpowered. They have enough hull as it is. E.g imagine 12k hull points (perfectly normal for empire frigates) with a 4% regeneration. That is 480 hull points per second. Combine that with the high resists and current low damage on guns and you will have a higher healing rate then dmg. Even a normal fighters or interceptor can easily go beyond 6k hull points which is 240 hull/sec. Same goes for jericho shields.
- The current flat bonus is sufficient if the frigate sticks to flying where it’s supposed to, near the protection of other frigates or fighters.

Well, I just had a great idea.
What if they introduced a new debuff module that BLOCKED all or part of the regeneration.
Already have it. Armada Plasma web
