Holy f*cking god… I want…
OWLY OWL indeed - that looks kickass!
Custom chassis are incredibly expensive/time-consuming.
I wish I had one.
To be honest, the case is not functional, but I will love to have all the “insides” of that beast.
I always said it, if for some reason one day I have enough money to spare in meaningless stuff, the first I will buy will be one of them overpriced “gaming” computers, just because I can. I won’t mind keeping my 17 year Honda, but man, one of those Asus ROG or Alienware stuff are sure comming home with me.
You might as well construct your own gaming PC at that point with all that excess money dude.
It can get crazy expensive but also ridiculously powerful.

I know, but it is the same as with cars. You can buy a Nissan GTR and experience all the speed and adrenaline you can manage to control not being Fernando Alonso, but if I have money, I will buy a xxxx Ferrari.
Because I can.

What do you mean, not functional? It’s got water cooling and a number of fans, apparently. And it’s clearly fully closed.
I’m a hardware nerd owl.

I just built a new rig.
CPU: i7-4790k
Motherboard: ASUS RoG Maximus VII Gene
RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133
HDD: Some Western Digital 3tb black edition I don’t remember the name of.
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv
PSU: Corsair AX760i
GPU: GTX 980ti
In the near future I want to get another 16gb of RAM and a 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD for my games. In January I plan to do custom length individually sleeved cables to match my color scheme. I was supposed to do it next month, but my headset is dying so I have to replace that instead. I want custom water cooling and SLI later on, but right now I just have a H100i GTX closed loop. The custom water cooling and SLI will have to wait for my next round of upgrades probably since I need a new desk and chair too and I don’t have infinite money.
Good choice on the Mobo and CPU. Is it watercooled?
Also, did you go with a reference 980ti or a factory OCed one?
I’m looking to build a new computer around Black Friday and I could use some feedback on the 4790k and the 980ti playing current AAA titles.

Hmm The right side team was more like this
Agreed XD
Hehe, sorry about missing the fun, but Legacy of the Void is out. Maybe the next week I will be available… maybe not :005j:

For me the only problem is the fact that it seems a little bit tiny, and it can be a problem for some aftermarket cpu cooler or modern high-end gpu.
But it can be the picture that make it smaller.

Start immediately with an ssd for S.o. and main programs. During “normal” use it’s the most improving performance thing in a pc, instead installing only games on it will not improve their performance in 90% of cases (some games like GTA will load things in less time but no perfomance boost in fps). With a rig like that it’s like having a ferrari with a 1.2 litre diesel engine.
But why are you guys in T3 though? Come to T4 and party with me!
Also dat one exYU guy LOL

I agree with this, current bottleneck in computer performance are the HD. A SSD for SO will increase your performance vastly, while you still keep the main HD for storage and installing stuff.
In fact, with the current price of external drives, a single 1TB Mechanical HD and a 256 GB SSD is more than enough. Anything else, you can just buy external drives.

Hey! I was partying with you on Monday at tier 4. I feel ignored…
