Unfortunately, survivability and hit points aren’t quite the same.

 

I’d like to know if collision compensators reduce damage, though. I doubt it, but it’d be interesting to see.

I have evidence that supports this, but I don’t really want to discuss it in public.

Statue is right, survivability and hit points are not the same. HP is calculated by adding up total hull and total shield strength. Survivability takes resistances into account, which play no role against “raw” damage.
