It’s annoying when a squad member is trying to ping something out to you, but at the same time someone else random is pinging a beacon for no reason. Please just add an option so that when you’re in a squad, you only get the pings from your squad mates, but when you’re not you get pings from everyone. It could easily just be toggleable too so people can keep it how it is if they’d like.
Perhaps, if not toggleable, a different colour indicator?

That is a very good idea. Though instead of ignoring all pings from non-squad members, just give the general pings a different soundbite (less piercing) as well as a new color like Mr. T suggested.

Also do something about corp pings, sometimes you get people from your corp in team who you didn’t squad with. Change their ship icon color as well.

I’m half-way serious…it could be useful.
It will be a mess with too many colors, but only in the beginning. After you get used to them they will all be useful.

You’re forgetting beacon ping. Pinging the next beacon would say “hey, wake up and let’s move!”
This would be awesome. Its good to have the “Other Pilots” Go to a diff location and the squad actually doing something without having 25 other regular terrible pilots following you on a secret plan alerting everyone to what you are doing. One button for team ping and one for squad would work amazing.
