To the crystal: This method can only be used to create ‘dead’ crystals. Living ones(if they claim to be REALLY living) can only be done by themself but not artificial.
If this ‘video’ is a reference how they grow the crystals, it can be used to find countermeasures to this. Then the factions would be able to block their production and therefore have an advantage in this war.

The message was going out, but the addressee of this letter isn’t the same for that? So to who is it directed? Maybe even to the aliens? As an invitation to an attack/invasion?
And how does Eugene died, if he is neither morphed(or infected) to a Biomorph nor killed by violence? So does one of their countermeasurements killed him(No oxygen air/or even vacuum)? But then they could guess how he is died…
And why should Agnes run? Why a warning? Does she received the last message but doesn’t pass it to UMC/us?
The last one: Why isn’t this message encrypted? a) They solved this issue b) It’s only working with a specific addressee c) There is no message/code left from him d) They used another source of communication system to prevent this issue

I have a feeling that we will hear about him again. That message is very suspicious. Maybe it was not a message. There is this memory transfer tech they are using with clones already so he may have sent his memories somewhere or transfer into something. Into an experimental crystal ship thing maybe? This actually could explain his death despite the lack of signs of violence or infection. He may have transferred his consciousness elsewhere.
It isn’t explained how he died, just that he died from something not so obvious. @Papitas: If you fly to the northern Defiler Rift, you see at the left side obstacles with the signs on it(at least it looked like ones).
