One easy change to make frigates more functional.

i keep hearing this, you have less, weapons and ships, but its really not holding water to be blunt its almost a desperate attempt to solidify the position of preventing the change.

I know you really want this game to be an X-universe game, but its not.  If there is any consolation X-Rebirth is just around the corner and it is going to blow you away. :smiley:

As I see X and SC are 2 different pairs of shoes.

X is far more bigger and complex and SC is not designed to be this complex as X. The game is a game for players who can just pick their ship and join a battle and get some fun while X is about far more things.

 

In X you have ship classes from M1-M8 and it’s nice there because it’s an offline game.

In SC we have T1-T3 which means we have less ship classes and all ships not to be able to compete against the others in a 1vs1.

 

The sniping will stay a part of the game, but there will be changes that will also motivate players to join close combat with their frigates.

@Error:  I so hope so, Im falling in love with the Frigates but my style is to be up in the mess which is really hard to do right now.

 

I have faith they will come to some point fixing the issue of frigate balance.

 

And if they don’t, well, we vote with our dollars.

i think many misunderstand me.

 

They think i want to turn this game into x-universe, But you are mistaken. I use references from eve, and you say the same. So which is it? You are simply just spouting these idea’s because you do not want to accept the position, so attack the position not the person. This is what we call as an ad-hom attack, and in the world of debate, you will lose with a move like this.

 

 

X universe has a combat system very close to us. The only difference (as Error stated) is this one is not that complex. But that is ok, we dont need all of it. I am looking at the feel/mechanics of it for combat specifically. The rest is of no importance.

Eve offers many innovative idea’s for space games, which is why i take from these

Black prophecy offers universal mechanics that will fit with this game.

 

I will take from all places the things that fit with this game, and try to improve this. This is what made the romans a great civililzation.

With respect, First off, there is 4 tiers. Second, there is a 5th close to release. (which you are aware of)

i am not advocating a large change to the game, just a correction.

 

I would like to see frigate in its place, where everyone is asking for (Big, and a capital like the dread).

But i am also asking for another ship (Heavy fighter) to take its place.

 I am talking about ship types (Interceptor,Attack Ship, Frigate) and not about Tiers.

The game is not designed to have fights with T1 vs T5 because this will make every new T1 player quit.

 

At the moment the only big class will be the dread and it will stay in the clan battles.

The 3 types we have now are pretty fine, they just need some little balance.
