Can you show me how you set up the module slots and what module you have put in each slot please? Then I might be able to help you improve your build.
My octopus is currently tankier than my Naga, and faster, and more maneovrable, and has more DPS. It has 60335 survivability + one adaptive, it can fly at 296m/s and has 2161 DPS with eclipse launcher (add two attack drones to that as well). I don’t know what more you can want in an engineering frigate?!

I don’t mind the low speed, but the fact that something that took weeks(months?) to make is made of tin-foil and magnets and hauls an amazing 260m/s is just turrible.
And since you lose materials on salvage, I’m stuck with it.

Pure volume on Engineer is dumb and inefficient. All you are doing is making it take longer for your heals to restore the damage done to your ship.
For example, I have the same 3 Shield/2 Hull setup on my Octo, but I guarantee you mine lasts 10x longer.

I’d go with 3 adaptive shields (matter of tastes) but yeah what you’re using makes way more sense than Fox’s.
I occasionally run Adaptive tank as well, but I figured I’d post something something more reasonable first.
With all the resists from Adaptives going, this is the once case where extra volume makes sense. (and also shows I never go volume. I have purple resist mods for days but nothing for volume)

Well some of us can’t afford to grind for purple passives. All I have is purple mains/weapons. And I’ve since changed my loadout to resists only. (Aside for one armour hull)
Because I have pirate shield gen that puts out something crazy like 277 pts/s of regen. Also two purple stations and a static barrier for those stupid ecm’s.
(And beacon protecting)

use resists man, thats why it feels like tin foil. swap a station or barrier for energy regen module if you are having energy problems
