New T5 Premium Ships

These pictures appeared on the Star Conflict Facebook page, so I decided to re-post them here and start a discussion.

 

The news article mentioned 12 new T5 ships. Nine of these will most likely be Premium ships similar to the current setup in Tiers 1 through 4. Each Premium ship will fill its faction’s specialty role (Fed: Covert Ops, Tackler, Engineer. Empire: Recon, Gunship, LRF. Jericho: ECM, Command, Guard.) These ships will probably be copies of existing T5 ships with special premium skins and modified stats.

 

The remaining 3 ships are below. These have unique appearances. If the developers stick with their current trend, these ships will break out of their faction’s primary roles and instead be stronger versions of their faction’s secondary roles. Why? Because the other 9 premium ships will already be filling the primary roles.

 

This means the following:

 

Federation will receive a T5 Guard

Empire will receive a T5 Command

Jericho will receive a T5 Covert Ops

 

So without further ado, here is how I arrived at this conclusion.

 

Ship 1:

The first one is clearly Federation in origin, as it shares design elements with the T-Rex. It also has Federation-style wings on the rear that are strikingly similar to the Reaper. If that isn’t enough to convince you, the engine trails are Federation Blue. The presence of what appear to be protruding blades seem to suggest this is a pirate ship, though the engine trails would need to be purple to fit with the current trend.

 

While not easily discernible, this ship appears to be a frigate. I would hazard a guess that it is a Rank 15 Guard, to fill the hole in the Federation ship tree.

 

Rakza will be pleased.

 

Ship 2:

The second ship is clearly Empire in origin, though it departs noticeably from standard Empire aesthetics. The tailfins mirror those found on the Phoenix, and the engine trials are Empire Yellow.

 

While the ship itself appears quite large, it is a Fighter. There are only 4 gun emplacements, and the ship is clearly equipped with Assault Railguns. Most likely this is a Rank 15 Command.

Lastly is this little demon. Jericho in origin, as there are no visible windows, and the engines are giving off Jericho Red contrails.

 

This ship is an Interceptor, as there are only 2 gun emplacements. I would guess this is going to be a Rank 15 Covert Ops.

 

 

 

Interestingly enough, all three ship are sporting the same Armada-inspired camouflage.

 

These ships probably aren’t going to be part of a DLC bundle, but be crafted from resources found in Invasion.

I cant wait to get my hands on one of these beauties.

 

I’m wondering if they will have an advantage vs biomorphs as an additional role bonus, the post said something about these being the new ships to take down the bios.

if they are craftable, I wont stop playing  until I get one.

Personally, I’m still hoping for a ship designed along the Vertical axis. Ex: Black Prophecy’s Genide ships. Or Freelancer’s Bounty Hunter Guild ships.

Nah, the Bear is too… portly. It’s still a bit too wide and not quite tall enough.

I won’t be surprised if the Imperial ship would be called the Wyvern. In terms of design, it resembles (to me) a downscaled Dragon.

The Empire ship looks like a manta ray to me.

When I first saw the Fed ship on FB, the blue circle in the middle of the three fins caught my attention. At that time it seems that it could be some kind of weapon, and I was like… Fed LRF??? 

 

But it could very well be a guard. In fact, I’m inclined to believe that these are R15 versions of the secondary classes (Fed guard, Imperial engie, Jeri covops).

If these ships can be crafted as well as bought for premium currency (not made with premium currency) then I am definitely going into invasion for a solid 6 hours to grind.

You guys are forgetting one thing :

So, sadly, I doubt all 12 will look as epic as these three.

Hope that :

  1. they will not be pay-2-win as the waffle is.

  2. to get some discounts on them in a month or 2.

  1. Sorry to dash your hopes, but the Imperial ship is a Fighter. It has 4 Assault Railguns mounted to its hull in the picture. So if your theory is correct, it would actually be a Rank 15 Imperial Command.

I have still hope. I do find most of the t5 ships ugly. But theses premiums are just great ! *-*

There will be 9 “regular” T5 premium ships, and there will be 3 “craftable” ships, i.e. go into invasion and live by farming 24/7 until your brain is gone type of craftable.

No need to be distasteful. I never said there’ll be 12 new ships models but 12 new premiums. Of course there’ll be 9 common model premiums, like in any tier. Just don’t ruin my dreams. *Cry*
