New Shipyard Mechanics

Instead of singularly crafting dreadnaughts, players should be able to use their corp’s shipyard to craft other types of special ships. And if I could get a dev to look at this post, I’d send them the rest of the idea…

And by special ships, I mean like non-factional ships like pirates or bots or drones or other types of “custom” ships. Maybe new prems if the devs ever add any new ones.

I don’t think we need more ships right now.

 

But what would be cool, is a special mode for Corps.

  Implying the fact that once you’ve crafted your Dreadnought, no need to craft it again if it is destroyed we can have :

 

Corporations war (max 15 vs 15, required : Dreadnought) :

  2 corps fight each other to protect their own Dreadnought (Similar to backwoods shipyard).

 

Both Dreads are placed on a special map facing each other.

Goal : Destroy the enemy Dreadnought by shooting some special points of the ship.

 

How ? Once a corp have crafted their dreadnought, they unlock the possibility to build some defenses/attack :

    -Bots (Bombers, destroyers, …)

    -Missiles launchers, DCA, …

    -Aura buff to the whole corp while fighting (Speed, damage, …)

    -Stations (Repair stations, …)

Witch you need to pay again once destroyed.

I was under the impression that Dreadnought/Shipyard interface will be put to beta-test, before official release, just to see the functionality of a current design or to prevent any existing bugs.

Why rush with release date now and not after this? It makes no sense at all.
