New-er RT Nerfs

Well for some reason they locked the old post. The resistance nerf is still crippling and the prep time is crazy cuz you can’t move if you wanna stay safe. Also there’s a sound problem with them where the warp noise plays before the warp.

That is not a problem, the warp noise plays so the attacker knows you are going to warp after the power up finished. Working as intended.

 

Now the RT is balanced. Sorry you cannot have your previously panic button module.

I’m sorry, Fox, but I like the new RT mechanics the way it is. The counter-RT thread died almost immediately, and I consider that evidence that the old RT was broken and without ample counters.

Indeed. No counters. But there should be like a charging up sound THEN a warp sound. Like micro-warp. And I just don’t like the new nerf because when you enable it, not only do you have to maintain the already difficult aim, but you become an insta-pop. Unacceptable!!!

And tacklers should totes be able to counter it with a module… Like engine web that slows you down for like a minute. ECMs can already stop RTs. And so can any ship as long as it’s behind the warping ship.

In think the actually RT is okay, and balanced.

Maybe more graphic stuff while charging would be nice.

But i think it’s good like it is.

About the sound yeah, i think it’s a work in progress. They can improve it.

Umm use this first then RT?

shush don’t give them ideas, milf. what’s next, you suggesting missile pylons to ceptor pilots…?

 

I haven’t used the RT, so might have to for seeing that about the sound; but admittedly also haven’t seen them much since the patch. Speed fighters are now a new threat to lonely LRFs and those big new tackly drones have also a nice big hitbox, so I feel it’s counterable, and the overuse has stopped.

RT is now Ok, but I still want my torp/Desintegrator back.

I was not a big fan of the one hit vs CO.

 

I have found that adjustments normally force me to be a better player. As in when plasma canon was restricted to 2.6KM. It finally meant I had to learn to dog fight…

 

I will say that this may have been better as a projectile speed reduction. It had to get nerfed though.
