Aye, king of the internutz.

What I experienced so far is: a Tai’kin with that green bubble weapon can destroy a dessy faster than a cov-op
basically a recon ship can kill a destroyer with 2-3 shoots.

Legend says, short short time ago, in one of the capture mode, team red happy guarding their beacon and checking drones happily circling around. It was so quiet and was all laughter and jest. Out of a sudden, out of no where, a tremendous white flash, a flash that no empire, Federation, Jerico have seen before. When they tried to figure out what just happened, they just discovered one of their Comrade Brokk just vanished… Wait! But the Brokk didn’t use warp gate, where is he, why is he not defending our beacon!  At that same moment, in a distant, an exploding of a frigate was heard… *Brokk was destroyed by “Tar’kin” No… this can’t be… It was our Brokk! What type of sorcery is this… we must do something to… *Poof* Huh? Where am I, why I see 8 enemy ship around me, WOAH!!! *Vigilant was destroyed* Soon later, one by one, enemy team frigates and destroyers were abducted by UFO, and paid the ultimate sacrifice…

That’s what happened this game, enemy team was way stronger with good pilots on engi, destroyer and Thar’gas, but still got a win by using Goku’s teleport… they have no frigates or destroyers in the end to push… and for SO, can probably do 1000kk damage with alien ammo and all crit damage fit and implant.

Don’t forget the 20k damage 1k3 radius inibitor crystal, that demolish pretty much everything. Especially when thrown into a beacon.

Who cares if it’s slow. 1k3 radius man. You can’t miss.

I use it but too lazy to make another screenshot ![:p](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/004.png “:p”) Tar’kin ability is fun to play with if dev can nerf it down to 40s-60s, and activation from 2s to maybe 3s-4s, and nerf the gun damage to half.

One of the tai kin problem, is that it gets more damages buff then covert ops themselves.

Standard recon have 15% crit chance and Covert ops 30%. So why does Tai kin has 30% crit chance + 18% weapon damage ?

I will believe anything these days, especially when it comes from Gaijin: We have no plans to make modifications to Dart/Gargoyle, they are perfectly balanced.

Actually, no. It’s quite weak. 

 

The problem is that peoples don’t know yet how to fight against. Once they realize that a single Heavy Drone can protect everything in a 10km range, it suddenly becomes less broken. Then you add the fact that a single disable destroy the beacon. And that it’s really hard to do against agile targets.

 

It’s nearly impossible to use to move allies (beacon in the enemy team -> destroyed) ; makes you loose tons of mobility (no warp) ; forces you to spend a good amount of time far away from everything ; and even comes with a 2 second blind that is enough to crash and die or to make it useless in dogfights.

 

 It’s fun and will kill aces. But that’s about it. In competitive gameplays, there will just be heavy drones hided everywhere around the map.

Allow me to disagree, as I have played several days of Tal’kin with minimal sleep. To use that you have to be a tackler, that means you give up your Thar’ga and your entire match purpose is to spawn heavy drones and watch for intruder. It won’t work well under beacon capture, beacon hunt, domination mode, and other big maps as there are multiple places where Tal’kin can hit, instead of homebase. Also it requires line of sight, same goes with micro locator. The true power of Tal’kin is reconnaissance, hit and run. While you have several players chasing me, which is what I wanted, the rest of your team will get crushed by my ally, provided that it is a somewhat fairly equal fight.

I rarely put return point on enemy team, it would be stupid as you’re feeding one of your ally to their entire enemy team to consume, and risk destroying yourself in the process. The dirty way is setup return point at home base and warp enemy frigates/destroyers back to base and finish it off.

I rammed enemy lrf 700m/s in survival to instantly kill them while I take no more than 20% hull damage, I also slam wall in survival with 700m/s to shake off spy drone without taking any hull damage. I can show you in custom.

I had a couple competitive gameplays vs ninja and nova, some match they do use heavy drones and micro locators, but that means they lack of firepower to counter ally Thar’gas. 

I don’t expect a nerf in taikin. It’s too soon. And probably devs want Milfeulle take more fun with this ship.

 

Vigil cap get smuggled by ship trafficker Tar’kin off the map, then kaboom-ed in 13 seconds. Balance dev balance… where is it.

What I love about you, milf, is you always find the most abusive way to play a ship ![:p](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/004.png “:p”)  It’s great! You could ask to be a tester, if you have the patience to deal with google translating Russian “pre-patch notes”.

They should really remove the dmg bonus in close range…

no need to nerf, all you need is a thar’ga with a thar’kth, combat reconstructor, and inhibitor swarm, a tackler or a command with phaser would also be great. Escaping inhib crystal is ez if you have a thar’ga with teleport engine. Not really worried about its main guns, espically the one that fires missile since they’re ez to dodge. What I’m worried about is its jump crystal because you can jump so many times in a row. 

but sure, if you wana nerf, nerf the gun damage and its speed
