Need bigger/unlimited ignore list

Has been suggested before but needs suggesting again. The ignore list is extremely tiny, I think you can fit 50 people or less on it. It should be moved client-side so storage space is not an issue and then made unlimited.

If recently find myself reporting lots of players and keeping GMs busy for the single reason that my ignore list is long full and I cannot simply ignore all the people who feel like sending me a PM about what they want to do to my mother because I just killed them for the fifth time in one battle… :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow, I have yet to put a single person on ignore…

But I get where you are coming from. What time do you get one where you have to deal with so many idiots?!

I agree with Snib. Need more slots on my “observed” and “friendlist” - unlimited if possible

EU time, and I get all kinds of PM’s from strangers. There’s lots of nice people but also those who feel like trying to impress me with their knowledge of profanity. Plus I like to ignore chat spammers and those friendly guys who try to teach me Russian by sending me PM upon PM in cyrillic.

It’s fine if you ignore nobody, but if I want to ignore the entire universe I should be able to. It’s such a trivial change - store a text file on my computer with a list of all the playerIDs I want to ignore and then feed that into the already existing filter. Nothing needs to be changed about the actual filtering, it’s just about the storage.

re FunkyDonut: yes of course, apply that to friends + stalk list as well if you want but it has more impact on server performance so my request is only for the ignore list which comes at no cost.

Yes, I agree. More friends, followed and ignored expanded slots are needed.

What happened to the good old “well, then i kill u back or die trying”? I honor those responses.

However the last guy being mean to me in cyrillic was so nice and translated his death threats, after asking.

I personally do not have issues with ignore, coz i do find, ignoring too easy in the net isn’t healthy for the community either, but I agree, limiting ignore kinda seems pointless, especially if you play a long time.

Client side it could also be easy to manage ignores better, I guess.

But yes, also the friends list is pretty small, which affects me personally more.

All lists are too small.  I have a full follow list, and I’ve had to remove people to add new people.

Is it wrong to try to follow all of the GM’s?  Various others as well.

I see no rational reason to limit ignore list.

Follow list might have some technical reasons, depending how it is implemented to the system. (ignore is done for each message in timely manner, but follow list you check all at once, it could be stressful to server if you check the in-game status of 200 players at once…)

With the addition of voice chat this is probably something they will be adjusting soon. It is a really good request though.
