Lately I have been playing EURO time and late late NA time… Seems there’s no population again since 1.0 sooooo 5 min que times are not fun. 3 v 3 with a bot for t3 is fun and all but meh.
XD tournys are fair game for spawn camping IMO, but still shows somewhat of bad sportsmanship. it’s just xxxx when u do it to randoms in your all purple pay to win premium ships.
I use premiums coz I’m not gonna spend money for repairs… that’s the only reason
I don’t condone grieving players in any way. But let’s be clear that just because a NASA guy is all up in your spawn it’s not a case of spawn camping. If you sit in a LRF at your spawn I’m coming for you and you and as many of your team mates I can get are gona die. If it’s a small map an the beacon is only 5 k from your spawn and you sit there in it I’m coming over there after I get the beacon. If it’s a recon game and the captain sits in spawn that’s where he’s going to die. See the pattern… If the players sit in their spawn it’s all fair game.
Now let’s define spawn camp - an entire team or squad killing an entire team then sitting in a spawn and killing each person one by one as they spawn back into the game. And they continue to do that for the rest of the match.
What isn’t spawn camping is warping or flying into a spawn to get a kill or multiple LRF camper kills and defending yourself from players that spawn in on top of you until you can escape.
So spawn camping = bad
Killing campers in their spawn = good

Idea of tournaments is to win at any cost to move on. Spawn camping is not bad sportsmanship because IT IS a tournament. Should you allow the enemy the chance to win? No.
So when we roll over enemy team and end up in their spawn we should get back to our spawn, let them show up, give them some advantage and roll over again?

Well, to be fair, it wasn’t why we spawn camped, unfortunately for some teams, Organizers created extra prizes for TOP kills and TOP assist, the only way to compete in that extra challenge, teams had to prolong the fight and attempt to farm enemy spawn as much as possible, that is what ESB/NOVA/SYN/DNO did in their matches prior to our games, so we had to follow that to give our guys a chance for extra 30 000 gold, on top of that tournament group stage structure was based on points, which promoted high kill counts and did not encourage “fast” wins. So simply that, if not for these stupid rules, we would have just moved in and win as fast as possible.
