Sorry I don’t remember that game, I recall having lots of those kind of games recently (either my team winning or losing badly). Best games are the tight ones, as in those you get to actually play. If I wanted to be steamrolling or get steamrolled, I’d be in road building business.

That map quite often seems to become slow, stalled frigate game that ends mostly due to time running out. And currently I’m flying fighter / inty setup due to grinding reasons (plus, I’m not that good with frigates anyway) =(
Inties and fighters in my opinion have roles in that map too, but main role is played by frigates and their ability to push as a group after small ships have been able to weaken the line by dropping few enemy frigates with “charge-kill-run” -tactics. Or then, quick ships could try to ninja some bacon behind the lines, while others play asteroid bee-ka-boo in the center. But we had too few there that time, no luck.
Not complaining, I think it is nice that there are different types of maps, that bring out different kind of game play.
Fine moments indeed. I did have a guy one time scream to the team “OMG, Its a NASA! xxxx win for us ya xxxxxxxx.” I reply, “unless you actually know what you are doing follow me.” Little did I realise that EVERYONE did, and everyone listened to my pings only. Game won in less then 50 seconds.

The worst part is that they bothered to reply you.
I think it’s just the friendly rivalry shining through. Whenever I see NASA tags now it means two things:
1: If they are against me, I am gunning for them. I want to put the fear of Sköll into them. But most of all, I seek to do so without malice; I won’t hunt them at the expense of the wider goal.
2: If they are on my side, I am glad of it. It doesn’t matter who they are, NASA pilots have always been reliable allies, and I do my best to keep an eye on them and support them where and when I can.
Ultimately, rivalries can be good things. The trick is to know when the rivalry is spurring the pilots on to outdo the other, and when its turning toxic. I don’t have any ill feeling towards anyone who has stayed with NASA, and I’m glad of them whenever they’re on my side. Hell, I’d rather have NASA on my wing than ESB any day! No offense to you, Space Bears, but your PR department hasn’t been doing its job. :taunt:

Subsequently, for a variety of reasons, members of NASA (primarily European ones it seems) have jumped ship to join Wolfpack.

Basically the NASA Euro players are in WPK now, and the US WPK players are in NASA now, so it was kind of like a trade.
