There were a lot of claims around the forums (English and russian) about huge numbers of Bubble gun (mk3 or exp) but there were no screenshots/videos or logs provided. I have both mk3 and exp BB gun, i did not see those numbers nor in the real games (granted might’ve missed them in battle) not during isolated test runs
If you see these big numbers in T3 coming from T3 ship and you have logs/proof of it, please provide them, If tehy true it looks like a bug to me, i can not wrap around my head around math and formulas to backup your claims.
In order to see 8k dmg from bubble gun you need all of these to be true:
a) Projectile has to do at least 3 000 dmg (mk3 and experimental bubble gun on wolf M does just that)
b) Your crit dmg multiplier has to be 170% (70 plasma native+50 from r6 fed implant + 2x crit dmg CPU modules that are no longer available (and if you run these, you actually losing on your dps outside of aiming overcharge)
c) Target resistance has to be zero or negative
If you have 180 EM resistances there is no way of seeing these numbers unless phase shield was on different dmg type and you were under target painter. The only thing i can think off is multiple dmg sources deal dmg to your shield in same instance combining taken dmg into same source (but i think it is not going to do so or next to impossible to come across something like this)
I might just have to run tests on this gun again. But yes, on the Wolf-M, I can pump the Mk3 bubble gun up to 4k on Guards.

a) a LOT more dmg in T3 can only come from Valkyrie buff, Target painter and be a Captain in combat recon, but this has nothing to do with Mk3 vs MK4 (might as well start calling it that now) discussion
b) Gunship Overdrive only affect fire rate, nothing else, so it is equally boosting Crit Chance build or Crit DMG build. The difference in T3 between crit dmg build and crit chance build is that 1st will do more dmg while you are under Aiming overcharge (crit chance buff) while 2d does considerably more overall dmg while Aiming Overcharge is on cooldown
c) if your EM resistance is 180 (64% dmg reduction) in order to get hit for 8k dmg your enemy has to deliver 23 000 pre mitigated dmg a shot , this is impossible. Unless it is a BUG.

Well, I just did a match… 5x 8-10k crits. On a Wolf-M against an Anaconda-M. Whether his Phase was set to EM or not, I couldn’t tell, but I did those numbers. Not 5 minutes ago.

Unfortunately this doesn’t prove /disprove anything, that Anaconda M could’ve have full on max Shield pool tank and have phase shield in something else, leaving it with negative resistances, you could’ve have valk buff or not, to many variables that have to be controlled/recorded/noted are missing.
I’ve never said ~10k crits are impossible, I have only stated that it is impossible vs properly played and build guard. And there is not much difference in mk3 vs mk4 singularity cannon.
Wolf-M using experimental bubbles (18% crit chance, 4138 crit damage bonus, DPS 2498, Damage 3311), blue Supernova deflectors, blue Aiming Overcharge and Overdrive vs a Grizzly Mk II with resists (kinetic/EM/thermal) 10/70/40 , 60/0/30 hull and shield respectively. 7242 damage (non-crit) against the shields. 16295 crit to shields. 10907 to 10128 crit to hull. I can provide the video if you all want.

Another test (ask Zi what he changed, I do not remember): 6634 crit to shield, 2949 non crit to sheild, 7571 crit to hull, 2999 to 3294 non crit to hull.

this doesn’t adds up, unless it is a bug, as I said before, can we see a video?
Something Snib’s said has been bugging me. The numbers used in the client don’t always match the numbers used by the server. I presume he’s checked the math enough to know that the the client side numbers are accurate.
As a side note, for my numbers, I have no mods or implants to boost crits for that ship, neither damage nor percentage. I even have Jericho R6 instead of Empire R6.
I still want everyone to record so I can edit the footage into something fairly awesome.
