I think that the Reaper’s “Improved Ram” ability is fantastic. It would be amazing to see more things like this on other ships. Maybe not just more ramming weapons, but ones that fire slowly at the crosshairs when you fire, or ones that deploy a small barrier when the shield drops. Or ones that make the ship detonate like a nuke when destroyed. More unique ship features that are always attached to the ship would be very neat.

It’s not about any of those. Xp
It’s a default feature of the ship itself. Not something you can install/uninstall.
I want this so badly, I’d love it if the ‘Cerberus’ series (this includes Styx, Garm, and Sigurdr) would fire those cannons on the front of the cockpit once every 5 seconds, launching a thermal bolt that explodes for ~500 damage
Or if the device on the front of the ‘Anaconda’ series would create a perpetual 10% slowing field within a 500m cone in front of the ship
Maybe the ‘Crusader’ series got one missile within 3km of them shot down every 30 seconds

Many ships also have rocket pods that don’t seem to do anything.
Most painful example is Executor, not even the guided torpedo is launched from there.

not sure if that’s still the case, but years ago, long before the introduction of “Tackler”, “Engineer” etc, Federation frigates had 2 kinds of drones, depending on the ship. The ones we have now, that replenish your shield if it’s <50% and ones that could intercept a missile every 10-30 seconds. The anti-missile drones were quite neat against Jericho frigates
