Of course! New emotions, fresh breath in the game. And it would be free and keep the users base. If the users see the game makes soem surprises, they will stay.
I’ve already thought of my entries. All I need to do now is find a good mic. (That or a really crappy one that makes me sound like I’m coming through over a radio.)
My real problem is deciding what voice to do them in. I’m thinking some in my normal adaptive accent, but some in a more Irish, scratchy voice.

I hope that it is at least around 50 new voice lines. Make an event for the new voice lines, if you need to.
Include women/female voice actors as well. Pirates are not exclusively males, you know.
Btw, if I hear that my ship is quaint, when in fact I got rank 15 Secret Project in Open Space (Pirate voice over) I am going to be disappointed.
Some voice lines should have additional conditions, like rank of the ship or class, in order to activate certain voice lines.

I was also thinking about it. Sometimes it is just not smart when a pirate cries at you like he is a rank 15 ship! This is ridiculous!
The pirates should know your rank and behave according to your rank. For example, if you are rank 3, they say different phrases, lke ‘look at this freshman"’/ But, if you are rank 15 they would say smth respectful or would get mad at you, yelling like beasts on fire.

That is good news! We perceive this game with our senses: visual (eyes), tactical (buttons), audio (sounds). While some people pay most attention to the graphics in Star Conflict, the others prefer LISTENing. This will surely influence the game in a positive way.

They could make all the new voice base out of their developers’ own recordings. Or, relly, why not make some cameos? Do we all know about cameos?
