More All-Class Missiles?

So with Invasion you can make Tier-less, Multiclass missiles, like the Doomsday Missile and Combat Drones. What’d I’d like to see are perhaps the class exclusive missiles, like the ECMs Energy-neutralizing missile or the Tackler’s Slowing Field missiles be able to be crafted using Invasion loot and equippable in much the same way.

Thoughts on having utility missiles be craftable and usable on any ship if you work for them in Invasion?

I like unique missiles for each class, I don’t like the idea of for example, an interceptor throwing an EM torpedo or minefield

…or a Doomsday missile or attack drones.  Those things need to be nerfed although i’ve not ran into them in regular pvp yet.  I can see people abusing the system though

You’re likely to only see them in SecCon, where it’s T5 anyways. They take too much time to just stockpile for a 100 random PVP skirmishes. Though using a EM cloaked sniper with dones is nice for farming in Invasion.

Yeah we seem to be coming full circle to where the game was long ago.

You’re likely to only see them in SecCon, where it’s T5 anyways. They take too much time to just stockpile for a 100 random PVP skirmishes. Though using a EM cloaked sniper with dones is nice for farming in Invasion.

I’m actually surprised how many people are using attack drones on just anything in invasion mode. I make them a priority target knowing I just made them lose a monocrystal, the only truly limited resource in this game atm.

Well they mostly make attacking the pirate/alien mooks a million times easier. Just play keep away at about 5km or more and let the drones do all the heavy lifting.

Monocrystals aren’t limited you can get an infinite amount. It just takes longer than any other item. It’s not as if there’s a set # of crystals in the game. Honestly though I’m not a fan of them in SC. I prefer to damage quickly than small attacks over time. The drones don’t last long vs. T5 ships anyway and the matches are too short

9 max per day, but you can never run out of missiles if you do invasion all day… Also Doomsday missiles doesn’t require monocrystal to craft if I remember correctly (at work now), just some basic components that’s easy to get.

Some examples on what happens when covert recon have mine fields and ECM abilities. For now it’s not that OP but who knows what else we’re able to craft later in game. It’s a nightmare for newbies to watch out for these things.
