Monocrystal Vouchers

Right now the monocrystals are just a boring routine to get… fly out, do mission, self destruct, repeat 4 times, stare at league games, fall into deep depression when you realize you have no friends to play with, repeat daily.
So, I suggest the following set of changes:

  • Add missions for PvP, PvE, and OS that reward [Monocrystal Vouchers]. 2x reward multiplier for License holders.
  • Every new day, you can do a mission to exchange 5  [Monocrystal Vouchers] for  5  [Monocrystals]. License holders can convert 10  per day.
  • All random post-battle rewards would be in the form of [Monocrystal Vouchers], not [Monocrystals], when one would normally drop on occasion_._
  • Vouchers can be stockpiled without restraint, but are useless until refined/exchanged.
  • Vouchers can be converted beyond the 10 per day limit for 50GS per unit.

Simply a new daily mission for pve-pvp that give mono’s as reward will solve a lot of problems. We already ask dev’s many times to give us a way to get more mono’s but it seem they want to stick with this system

I don’t want a new system that can abused to treat the normal user to pay.
And license should NEVER give more as the stated 50% to begin with, so even now they shouldn’t reward more than the 1.5 it normally would give.

Considering that Monos are more or less the most needed recource in the game it really is astounding how few you can make per day.

The OS ones are a chore to fullfill cus in most cases you need 5 mins+ to reach the sector of the mission (mostly this counts for Elydium one) do for 1-3 mins your thing and then suicide back (cus who can´t/won´t enjoy OS doesn´t cares for the loot there anyways). Here i suggested already in another treat how this could be “solved” at least a bit.

The SCL one… yeah kinda strange why they “force” players to play a mode they maybe not wanna play cus they aren´t competetive players at all or just wanna do it for the 4 rounds for the 15 efficency points. Again it´s more an lazy idea cus the teams who only wanna do it for the daily monos make an rushing round anyways or gain the points and suicide as well like the OS case.

At least it´s a wonder that the SCL mission isn´t bound to the common "use the highest rank available like all the other missions (what is bluntly said such an totaly restricting rule that other ships can´t be enjoyed anymore cus you can only fly 1 ship all the time for the contracts.)

Believe me, you don’t want the “boring tasks” to change. You can get 8 per day and that’s the only resource you have to play for every day. There has to be some kind of a resource like this, in every game, a kind of bottleneck item.

This might be in terms of the OS all i want to see is an “quickjump” option cus i simply hate the “useless” flight part between the sectors cus i can´t befriend myself with OS no matter how hard i try it it simply isn´t my mode (espacilly in case of RNGesus who seem to hide there somewhere very far away lol).

SCL however is a point that only can be played in preseted groups and therefore requires to find players who wanna do this. Cus i don´t know exactly how SCL really works (and i rarly see any requestings outside of the offical time) it seems that either the players don´t care about these 4 monos anyways or something else… like said i don´t know it. So maybe an optional part could be to offer an PvP mission that not needs the required 15 efficency but therefore 200 (maybe even 250) efficency to count for 4 times.

As a non competetive player SCL isn´t interesting for me at all and those who are competetive gain just “easy wins” by those who only wanna go for the daily mission and “suicide” themselfs out then anyways. And in PvP you need to do at least something to earn the 200 (250) efficency then just stand around and do nothing or quick kill drones.

All I’m really asking for here is more options for Monocrystals, but having it limited to the same rate of acquisition of about 5-10 a day.
Mono gain rate mentioned above could be tweaked to 4 and 8, but I was thinking about SCL too.

So, the end result is more ways to get monocrystals, but the same daily income.

I guess you could compare it to the dilithium refining on Startrek Online? Though, that resource was tradable for the money currency.

Monos are a very tricky topic tbh, if you let people have it just like that, you wont profit, if you limit it others will complain. For the time being i am looking forward to OS rework which i hope will bring the diversity you seek.

Wasn’t there monos in PVP loot for a while? I dunno I built most of what I need, but yeah I stopped farming those open space missions ages ago. I still have PTSD from the “escort the transport” transport ships flying straight into that huge cluster of biomorphs and committing seppuku.

Honestly i have no real or high hopes that OS could become interesting… at least not for me atm cus of several reasons that not really belong to the main topic at all.

SCL however is kinda “limiting” the players cus the few times i did participate in it i couldn´t really enjoy it cus of the “you need to be in a team”, the “i only aim for the points for 4 time” and “i´m not really competetive or don´t want it here” parts.

OS i can kinda “survive” the chore even when i have everytime the feeling that i need to force me to do this 4 daily missions (Elly and Imperium meant to send me 4 sectors away again today) and depending on what crazy mission idea the station today has to offer (like killing 5 predators that can kill you without of a problem if the sector not allows really good hiding and stuff or the mentioned “suicide” transporters that only seem to know the most dangerous route of the whole sector (normaly they should have noticed this already but nope straight into an 3-5 squad of pirates/bios/aliens no real biggie)).

Anyways and in terms of contracts (cus in the end these things are only contracts) i liked the time where all contracts where running at the same time wihtout of the need to be docked in a specific station so that they could “run next by” instead of “worrying about them” + doing the nearly same thing for every station anyways (like Fed wants 150 kills/assists in PvP while Jericho wants 200 kills/assists)… ok now i can only fly 1 ship all the time cus of this totaly useless “max syn” requirement + in some cases the useless squad requirement (again why must it be done in squad what´s the point in this requirement?) but these are (again) another story.

The onliest reason why i change the stations is the daily OS mono anyways so i guess that this wouldn´t be an real argument to not reintroduce the “all contracts run at the same time” again. I could even live with just 50 or even 25% of the vouchers cus my personal guess is that most vouchers come from the daily 10 hours mission and the “manual research” anyways.

One “solution” for the OS contracts could be to throw them into 1 mission pool (maybe into brokke´s missions) and showing the 4 sectors where the missions would be held but instead of the need to do all 4 only 1 mission point must be completed to gain the 4 monos from that part. The SCL i already made an suggestion to give the option that it can be fullfilled over the normal PvP but there it needs 200 or 250 efficency points 4 times to gain the 4 monos.

Over this way the daily mono amount would still be the same (8/day) but beeing more “convinient” for the players to achive

They should just simply revert back to base value of 2 instead of 1 without a license. It would solve most of the problems.
