Module: Adrenaline Injector

Module:

  • Adrenaline Injector

Description:

  • Slows down time for 2 seconds. <— or whatever is not too much or too little
  • Class module is available for: Long Range Frigate (OR ANY FRIGATE) <— up to you/devs
  • Cooldown: 10 seconds

Why?:

  • Ever play F.E.A.R. (2,3) ? ← check it out if you haven’t. Also, who wouldn’t want to slow down time? The Special Module for Tai’Kin, Quantum Leap, reverses time so its already recording what you are doing therefore slowing down time isn’t out of the question.

Pros:

  • Tai’Kin, for example, is fast and hard to hit. Use this and it will be slowed to a crawl. <---- No more tears shed for those that are being killed by Tai’Kin!

Cons:

  • While using it, you can be killed in real-time and not notice it because the actual gameplay is continuing and not being slowed, only what you are seeing is.

Additional Notes:

  • The refresh time can be anything that keeps things balanced (ahahah) increase it if LRF (or whatever ship(s)) is taking over the game.
  • You could also make the holder of this module invulnerable while module is being used if feeling REALLY generous ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)
  • AND… you could also increase fire rate by 50% <---- meaning if you slow down time by 50% then your fire rate is actually 75% (think that’s right lol)
  • It is not meant for dodging bullets due to real-time is still happening at real-time speeds (only you are seeing things in slow motion for the allotted time)
  • I think Quantum Leap only records what YOU do so hopefully this can still be a thing. (maybe for performance reasons only slows what’s locked on)

Other ideas for name:

  • Adrenaline Rush
  • Adrenaline Rage
  • Rage Rush

But like… How would this work???

Maybe it should simply increase the “auto align weapons to target marker” radius by 10 degrees or something.

Good question!

If you are asking how would this work because you are slowing down time in an online game:
Like the Quantum Leap, you are the only one that sees it. Everything else works as usual. When the affect is finished then you are back to real-time.

If you are asking anything else, then please be more specific on what you aren’t understanding and I will be happy to explain further.

You said: Maybe it should simply increase the “auto align weapons to target marker” radius by 10 degrees or something.

That’s another idea that could work. I would suggest making a suggestion in a new topic. ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)

No.

Thank you for your honesty, but it is no secret that there are a lot of veterans in this game that don’t like progression of the game for example destroyers and Ellydium. Feel free to explain why otherwise you only come across as one of the above mentioned. ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)

How would you sync the different players together? What this seems to be is a ‘legal’ lagswitch, and I don’t think players would appreciate that too much.

Do you know what the Quantum Leap Special Module is and what it does?

This should give you at least some idea of how it can work. Someone that owns Quantum leap help me out here. XD

Ah, I think I know what you guys are asking. Yeah, its unavoidable ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)  If you are the victim of this then the only way you will know that you were killed because of it would be the killing blow thing. Basically it would be a recording of what the target did in slow motion. 2 seconds is not that long so its not like it would break the game.

^^ edited last post due to finally understanding what you guys are asking ![:p](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/004.png “:p”)

No.

Actual input:

If this would work like suggested, this would mean, that any target would receive the damage without being able to react, since you can’t ‘dodge stuff in the past’.

It would mean, that any inty could die instantly, without a way to fight back.

Thx for input and yes, I agree that is something that could happen. The numbers are not set in stone however. The thing I like about it is that the effect would be awesome and that’s the type of thing I look for in a game. Second thing is that it puts Tai’Kin at a more reasonably balanced position. The standard ceptors are tanky as hell compared to most Tai’Kin’s.

OFC, in the meantime, I’m destroying destroyers with my Tanky af Vigilant and almost invincible in my Tai’Kin, again, destroying Destroyers LOLOLOL

Maybe one shot and then its over so its not overboard.  ![:dntknw:](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/dntknw.gif “:dntknw:”)

Rather no because I am not sure if it could work, i guess maybe not possible …

No.

Quantum leap not really change the time, players just use it for self healing.

Sorry guys, but its totally possible and when it gets in the game, I’m going to come back to this thread and make a list of everyone that said No and kill all of them with it. XD ahahah

meh, it will either be a thing or won’t. Doesn’t really matter anyway, I’m not going anywhere anytime soon ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)

Your suggestion already implemented, it’s called “tackler modules”, if you do correctly, you can really stop the time for your enemy.

No, op.

this does give me an idea for the LRF specific missile, an invisible unguided torpedo that will immobilize the first enemy to come into proximity for 1 second before detonating, dealing EM damage
