If they do that, then there will be no point to sell Mark 3 variants of each items for GS, right?
Buy or get. What matters is that you have the option to get it for free, even if it takes very long.
The hell are you talking about? Ever thought about all those poor suckers that pay GS for Mk4 or even Mk2??? Please… And the chances of getting a kit that actually fits what you want to upgrade is very little too. Everything is balanced by chance. Keep this in mind.
In all F2P games there is one grind choke point. In this game that’s an upgrade from Mk2 to Mk3. They have to generate revenue somehow…
Well then… If it is the hard point in the game why is it 3 and not 4? Why not reorganize the weapon variants to an order like cred>cred>Iridium>Vouchers>Crafting or something that makes sense like that?

If the grind choke point were from 3 to 4, it wouldn’t be as beneficial to the devs. The gap between 1 and 2, and 2 and 3 is fairly large compared to the gap between 3 and 4, and the gap between 4 and 5 is even smaller. Putting a choke point on a bigger gap is more profitable, as well as more rewarding for pilots. When they finally grind through that Mk3 upgrade, it is worth more to them, plus players will actually want to put in the time for that upgrade. A lot of players wouldn’t be likely to put much effort into grinding the choke point if it were the gap from 3 to 4, as the difference isn’t much.
However, I will grant that the current voucher system is extremely slow. The fact that I have to play several (3-4) hours on this game just to accomplish one module upgrade is just ridiculous. I don’t think adding in Mk3 upgrade kits is the right solution, I just think a voucher system rework is necessary. Maybe make all of the voucher missions actually attainable with any build on any ship, instead of throwing in obscure missions that require you to use one specific module (I’m referring to the stupid multi-phase shield mission), or missions that require you to to capture beacons. I think that all the missions should be attainable on any ship, regardless of the build, and in any gamemode. So pilots aren’t forced to play through several games just to get a beacon game to finish one mission. I do think that the current system of unlocking more missions that are only available in higher tiers is good though.
Also more PvP contracts would be awesome.
And by contract I mean legit contracts. Maybe every other mission (previously invasion specific) could require PvP.
As any mission you could just cancel it for the day to switch back to invasion, but I think some bigger rewards for PvP (more reason to play for everyone) would be a great investment by the devies. An instead of cred and synergy it could reward vouchers and synergy. I also liked the Summer missions because they pumped up my voucher and Iridium reserves a bit each day.

80% of contracts are obtainable on PVP only, why do you want to get even more into PVP? I was going to xxxxx about allowing more contracts into PVE but seems this is not the place…gtg xD

We don’t need more contracts, but we need an ability to reset the cooldowns. I already proposed that long ago!
