Metastable Energy Field Stacking... STOP THIS!

I am sick and tired of sitting on point defense just to have 3 ships fly in and time these abilities to take my entire defensive squad out of the fight for an absurd amount of time! Give a diminished return on this EMP! Seriously, unbalanced!!!

There’s a very simple solution to this:

  1. Turn around, and run like hell.

  2. Once out of effect radius, shoot at ECM.

Problem solved.

Why this works: most people will run when confronted by a Metastable.

nah, its a great and allowed technique. if your teammates use it, would you fight against it either?

Diminished returns are the norm for crowd control effects in PVP games.  Teamwork > Skill already *most* of the time, there is no good reason to make it *all* of the time. 

 

Be careful supporting “free-win-for-squads” tactics.  It will just drop the playerbase and ghost-town the game

YOu really want this to be in all corporation battles though? corp vs corp where this tactic is all thats used, and which ever side can do it more often, or more successfully wins? Yea… talk about a very stale game, very fast…

Is this what happens in corp vs corp every time, or is that just a hypothetical?

personally, i think all control inhibiting effects should be banned.

 

they are the worst thing you can do to a player. you should never be in a situation where you are being chain-cc’d, unable to counter because no skill exists to counter.

 

simply put, slowing effects are ok to a degree, but complete paralysis is unacceptable in most cases. jamming modules, ok… i can live with a disable…

 

technically, if a EM device was used, it would also disable friendly units in the area…

 

preventing the user from having any kind of control is in general a very bad idea in pvp situations. LoL used to be like that, they tried to add some champs with resists, but honestly the main problem is the sheer lack of counters to chain CC in that game.

I don’t argue that point. The highest level of pvp will always min/max. What I’m wondering is whether this is the only broken tactic that works, or if it’s an answer to another really broken tactic already being used. Like blobbing frigates for instance.

 

So, is this tactic the only tactic that is being used now, and nothing can stop it? or is it just a hypothetical fear of this tactic becoming the new meta?

dude, LoL is a lesson in how to get manhandled:

 

first, you are pulled through a wall by blitz

 

then, you are kicked into the wall by lee sin

 

then you are shot into the wall by vayne, or pummeled into it by poppy, or whatever dont care

 

then teleported by urgot

 

then frozen by nunu’s ult

 

then snared by galeo’s ult

 

when does it end? nobody knows…

 

and then wen you thought it was safe…

 

morgana rushed in the with the zonya’s+ult…

 

game is all about burst damage and CC, pretty much… once i ‘educated’ my friend on it, he started winning all his matches and got bored of the game within a month or two.

And Skarner on a short leash give you a walk around the park

Its soo easy to kill them now, take a EM torpedo at the right time, he WILL die no matter what tipe of inty he is.

It doesnt last enough to me to care about. Just gtfo or wait 5 secs and fire at him, he will die sooner or later.
