Is it just me, or do the weapons in this game not have enough OOMPH! When you fire slower and heavier weapons, it should have some real kick too it (and maybe a shockwave effect) to make you feel like your actually firing something that does serious damage. Also sound assets play a big role too.
Don’t get me wrong, so far Star Conflict has some decent OOMPH in their weapons, but it’s not enough! It will never be enough! When i fire the heavy duty weapon on my ship i want my ship to get kicked backwards a bit, and my overheat bar to jump up (also shockwaves), basically i want the feedback from firing the weapon to scream at me “I AM POWERFUL!” (in an Arnold Swartz voice, ofc). I do not want my heavy weapon to go “pew” and my ship to not react at all to this supposedly “heavy” weapon, bigger damage numbers does not a heavy weapon make.

Anyways, yes - I agree with you. Shockwaves would be a good start, and a deeper, beefier “OOOMPH” sound when you shoot heavy weapons would be nice. Take the Disintegrator weapons on the frigates. It sounds too “pew” to me. Should sound like “BOOOM!”
Yeah… I spend a lot of time using the special module on my Hydra, and it’s like “PEW!” instant 2-3k damage, where the xxxx the sound and visuals damnit?!" It just seems wrong to me that I fire a weapon that does 2-3k damage and there’s only a soft sound to it, and no recoil. I almost felt like throwing the computer out the window when I first fired the Disintegrator on the Harpy.
