Make the option to drag any module to the Research icon directly!

Make the option to Research any module in your Armory directly , by providing such an option, or point and drag the item to the Research icon , directly from the Armory.

Spoiler

  • dragging any item to the Research icon automatically starts the process of accumulating loyalty vouchers and it automatically changes the type of required type of loyalty vouchers

Advantages:

  • you don’t need to use free loyalty vouchers in all cases

- you can get the remaining small amount of needed loyalty vouchers by just playing the game (fair use)

  • you can research an item, even if there is no required ship to fit such a module, with any ship, even without equipping such module directly or in hangar (shortens time)

  • it’s quicker (dragging an item to the Research tab) (ease of use)

Because the last thing I want to use is my free resources. Those are like money in the bank and “research” for modules is like payday. I pay with what I have on-hand, and put whatever is left over in the bank.

Currently it is important on which ship module is installed, rank of the ship and premium status all contribute to amount of loyalty is put on the module, if you simply drag it into the icon, those factors will have to be reworked

The extra vouchers given are a result of the ship’s you fly, not the ship that it is equipped on. If not, then whoever designed this feature needs to be fired for convolutidity.

Indeed, but I do not know, why nobody in ST and SC Team thought of that.

And what is your ground on stating such fact?

Logical thinking. This new system is not so liberal as you thought it to be.

Meaning you have no clue what actually happened and you are talking out of thin air, again.

The module for the research should be equipped. But where will it be equipped after draging to the icon. We can’t make modules available for upgrading, without being in the ship slot due to technical reasons.

A work-around for this should be quite simple, as we can already upgrade modules with vouchers manually. How about you make a virtual “slot” for the item to be “equipped” on under the research icon. This way you are still “equipping” it to something traceable but are able to do so without actually wasting a ship/a slot on a ship. And the primary reason that we want this isn’t to immediately upgrade the module, it is so that we are not required to waste our hard-earned “free vouchers” on silly needless upgrades.

Yup fox said it all.

Make a virtual ship name “Research” with one slot of everything, and draging a module to the “research rectangle” Equip it on the virtual ship.

Should do the trick.

EXACTLY!

They gotta learn to think with what they want, not with what they have.

There is always a way to bypass some of the technical issues.
